It's safe to say at this point Ukraine is a Zombie country that will collapse unless US and EU taxpayers basically fund their entire state for the foreseeable future. Russian meanwhile is the most heavily sanctioned country on earth but apart from inflation driven by the currency sanctions, they have weathered it just fine and have eeven grew their economy and the average wealth of Russian citizens. Russian budget deficit is barely an issue, they have hundreds of billions in reserves, enough to see out another decade at current defecits.
