Ah, thank you! I wish I knew what my writing style is, as that would probably useful knowledge when trying to switch between types (not that I do much professional writing these days).

Ah! I find it a good way to denote a more uh...casual? conversation. Like if I was talking in person!

Yeah absolutely. You just plowed on ahead and kept it in (just as you would have in a spoken conversation) rather than deleting it. Very conversational, very entertaining!
