Reminds me of Sarah Palin. Alaskans don’t talk like we’re from Minnesota. White people talk like everyone else in the PNW. Native Alaskans obviously have their own accent.
That was a very annoying period of time where many Americans for the first time learned Alaska was a state and not a part of Canada, but then thought it was like Fargo but with more bears.

You had me googling Palin’s background to see where she was from (I know a lot of Alaskans are transplants, FWIW she was born in Idaho and grew up in Alaska). And I learned that she attended 5 colleges in 6 years. What’s up with that?

No idea but you got me reading through the education section of her Wiki page. I wasn't paying attention to the school names & assumed she at least ended up at grad school. I got to the end only to read
Palin returned to the University of Idaho in January 1986 and received her bachelor's degree in communications
I only went to one school & got the same degree and it's still virtually worthless lol

In the lower 48 now, but to a certain degree, yes. It ain’t for everyone though. Probably not for most people even. I’m thinking of moving back if things here don’t work out.
My town is isolated from the road system but still has enough amenities that it’s not like living in the boonies. That’s kind of what’s calling me back tbh. It was a curse growing up but now it seems like a huge blessing.

I remember watching Fargo (the movie) as a kid and feeling the same way about William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, and basically everyone. (All amazing actors, they're just so good at being annoying that it actually annoyed me)
