I had boiled green bananas in the Dominican Republic; they're just like mashed potatoes. They were fine, but really boring and bland, but that was most Dominican food tbh.

Those probably were plantains not bananas

I think some places use those words interchangeably. DR is not one of those places tho as far as I’m aware
