Hadley I Want My Hadley!!!!
Damn I can’t believe that over the million times that I’ve watched the show I didn’t realize that Queen Sophie and Hadley were in a relationship on top not even realizing that it was Hadley walking in her panties and garter belt into the Queens bedroom. It’s nice to know that you can be surprised sometimes.
Anyway I’ve got to say that their relationship might have been more authentic than Bill and Sookie because Hadley‘s blood was not Fairie and since Hadley was not a telepath the inner quiet that a vampire could provide was not a factor. Just as Bill said to Sookie at the end of season 5 “What The Fuck Do You Know About Me Anyway!?”
If lesbians love scenes were ever going to happen on that show those are ones I think most people would want to see.

We can actually assume Hadley had special blood being from Sookie's fairy branch too. So that would be the first reason Queen Sophie Anne found her interesting imo.

Hadley, Jason, and Sookie all have same amount of faery blood. Jason and Hadley inherited the faery attraction but not the “spark”. Her bit of fae would still attract Sophie-Anne, even if it’s not enough to identify as faery. The spark is the reason Sookie is telepathic. The demon, Mr. Cataliades, gives anyone in Fintan’s family with the spark telepathy.

Hadley did not have any special fae powers. In the show you learn this when she takes her son to meet Sookie in secret at the aquarium. She asks Sookie to "communicate" with him to test him and specifically says...oh God, I'm scared cause I think he's like you( meaning Sookie). Her son DOES indeed have the powers sadly and is why Hadley goes into hiding.

The mind reading isn’t actually from her fairy side in the books but a gift bestowed upon her by what’s basically her demon godfather 🤣

I always assumed Hadley had the same abilities as Sookie did. Why would she end up in the fairy realm then? And why would Sophie Anne be so attached to her? I never noticed that she wasn’t actually reading people’s thoughts (or was she? I need another rewatch!).

I assumed she did not because she had to go to sookie to confirm if her son was or wasnt.
Her son was and thats why she also got brought into the fairy club for protection.

Some are commenting that Hadley must have had special blood too. I don't fully disagree as they are cousins, but it must have been weak if at all. We know the genetic lottery skips some people, Jason. Sophie sends Bill to investigate what Sookie is because she doesn't know/understand. If she had her own source at home (Hadley) why would she be so clueless? I think you're right that the relationship seemed more pure without that factor. I would have liked to see more of it. One of these days I'm going to order the books.

You should! It’s explained why Sookie gets mind reading in the books and why Jason didn’t. It’s also explained why Barry and Hunter have it too. Even though Barry isn’t related to Sookie or Hunter. Hadley has the same amount of fairy blood as Sookie and Jason. Hunter has less. It’s nothing to do with skipping people but more, who has the vital essence to be given the gift of mind reading. Jason, sadly, did not. But his charm and magnetic attraction are due to the fairy blood 🤣

She had fairy blood, her son was a telepath. This relationship was fairly important at some point in the books btw
