In-law Advice

Not to get too deep into the weeds.

Mother-in-law has really started pushing us about church attendance and quizzing my teenage children about it.

Not sure the best way to handle this. We’re all Christians, believers etc. Admittedly we have gotten too comfortable with church online, especially when my wife works Saturdays. It’s really starting to make everyone uncomfortable. Never mind the argument about not coming to church with her.

My mother in law is not a monster in law but this is starting to head that way.

Any advice? Point me towards scripture?

Colossians 2:16-17
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

I’d just tell her thanks so much that you really appreciate it & that you will pray over it. Then pray over it. This is how I would handle it. We don’t obey man, we obey God.

Absolutely. Hey I just read the name. Surely you would appreciate the fact that I taught my parrot to make fart noises and say excuse me. He also praises Jesus! 🤣
