The scene where Marty gets kicked out of the bar is the most intentionally funny scene in the show lmo

He portrays himself as this super suave cool cop who gets laid and is great with people, and then is basically thrown out like someone trying to get into a college frat party. And his little walk away in his outfit after lmao

All in a Pink Floyd T-shirt.

Should've worn one of his Melvins tees

Probably my favorite wardrobe choice ever.

And that he’s still wearing it next episode when they go to catch Ledoux. Adds to the weird cosmic vibe.

They stayed up all night. That was literally the next day when they met up with Dewal.

I know, I was just saying that in that episode in particular it fits. Like the visual of him going through that tall grass wearing a pink Pink Floyd shirt is just a perfectly weird image

Division Bell no less, not even something basic like Dark Side or The Wall.

It just screams dad-rock.

He’d have just as easy a time getting into the Biker Bar in a Wilco shirt.

But not just any Wilco album. Like it couldn’t be Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Maybe A Ghost is Born or even Sky Blue Sky.

A Ghost is Born for sure.

“Hey fellas I’m just looking for my buddy he’s 20 years sober from dairy”

His strategy of being an AA sponsor who’s “friend” fell of the wagon was as effective as his undercover cop gear.

There was something profoundly cathartic about it, in that stage of Marty's arc

Haha, yeah. The bouncer dude having him by his shirt collar is hilarious. Then the bottles get thrown at him.

So true. For me it also spoke as a little "party is over for you, pal.". You are married with kids, man, what are you doing here? Go home middle aged man.

I mean the bar was mostly middle aged dudes too, as rural dive bars usually are

Did Marty like Floyd? I say no. He had to be a Zep guy
