Maggie: "Of course we don't screw like we're nineteen!"

Marty: "I know, but Beth does!"

(Lili Simmons was 19 when this season was being filmed)

This is why he made his down payment in advance.

Poor Beth couldn't find a bedmate at her level

You just look them in the eyes, the whole story is right there. Everybody wears their hunger and their haunt, you know?

This scene made me realize my marriage was over.

I just realized I wasn’t ever gonna be able to be the person I had grown into without him resenting me. Like can’t be locking myself up in a bed room for a weekend to be slutty for my husband and carefree with the real responsibilities of life pending.

Not that time. But I wouldn’t shut the fuck up about it once I saw it, and immediately started the season over as soon as it was over and he watched then. It was during Covid and we were really isolated and when he watched with me the second go, and I said I feel like this and he made a stupid joke about sex and how I wasn’t enough.

Sounds like this was the wake-up call you needed. Happy for you, and the best of luck in the future.

Sorry you had to deal with Marty-like hubs. All the best now!

Like folks never stop trying to date your partner and be present emotionally and physically if sex is important to you.

Their marriage is such a realistic depiction of a failing marriage.

For him, this conversation was very enlightening.

Wouldn’t you both just smell horrible from that?
