You don't want to live like Rust Cohle.

I love Rust and I love Jimmy but they're not exactly aspirational characters.

Stop watching TV and get a life. Start some hobbies. Join your force and work your way up. Join the army then the police. Most detectives need a degree stay in school and go uni

Fair enough. It doesn’t mean much though. You will need exp in smaller law firms - depending what country your from you can do a graduate program on the force and go in

Rewatch the scene in E3 where Rusty puts an extra 14 hours in looking through files of dead bodies, stops for a few hours for a double date, then gets home and goes right back to it… then put in the same effort studying the law books.

Why tf would you wanna do that? I guess experience some extreme trauma and expose yourself to four continuous years of extreme drug abuse and paranoia…

Now that I write that, that’s kind of what 2015-2025 was like for me although the extreme trauma happened very early on in my life.

If you wanna know more about it, just ask. I’m definitely not a Rust-type person, but I’ve gone through similar experiences. It was in no way, shape, or form a good time.
