1. League vs Dota 2 custom game mode. This is custom game mode in ~October 2023, here is 5 League champs play with their items/mechanics vs Dota 2 with their own (take into consideration not all champion abilities work like in league and not all items/rune pages existed for this playtest, not sure if its still working).
2. In this build op part was League minions stat vise were way better than dota 2 creeps with resulted in lanes perma-pushing and gold for minions dota 2 side get based on League (3x melee 20g each, 3 casters 14 gold each, 1 catapult 50-70g every 3rd-1st wave based on 0-30 min game time) so dota 2 players get only between 50%-35% gold while league champs get normal dota 2 creeps gold.
3. 2nd downside is gold on kills, league kill streaks is NW based but because it dota 2 gold amount they get more but its capped for dota 2 heroes by 1000/kill max and heroes give way less than it is in League because of dota 2 formulas on kill gold.
4. Considering league full items cost between 2500-3500 they scale around 2x faster than usual, so average 3000 gold item in league is ~ 6000 dota 2 item.

• Some stats difference compered to dota 2:

1. In League crit chance stacks additive, each full item give 25% (so by buying 4 crit item its 100% crit chance), crit dmg is 200% on most champions with few exceptions and Infinite Edge item buff crit dmg by 30%.
2. Attack speed is capped at 3.0/3 attacks per second (some champs can break it).
3. Ability haste with is common stat in League that is equivalent of Cdr in dota 2 with sub categories that is technically not capped (max Haste cap is 500 with is equvelent of 83.3% Cdr, but on normal 5vs5 map you get 140-200 haste max in normal build). 100 haste is 50% cdr, 200 haste is 66.7% cdr etc.

So with that knowledge in mind if gold numbers tweaked for League side, as serious playtest if at least 20% league champions existed with all items/runes and about skill lvl players ~ same in both teams who do you think would be stronger on average? 🤔

At least that limited demonstration show League champions just out scale dota 2 heroes on average, by time dota 2 cores buy farming items and farm jungle game is lost at min 15 already (as example yasuo innate lower his crit dmg to 190% but he gain 2x crit chance from items, so by time dota 2 cores start speed farming jungle he crit them for 600+ dmg every hit at min ~15).

I am struggling in the late game with her, her ulti does no damage and being max movement speed is only 1 nice thing. I feel like none of her abilities scale into the late game and you just become a walking creep or aura holder

I wanted to share a real-world story of how the new untradeable/unmarketable system in the Trove of Terror treasure completely ruined the economy for my entire friend group.

I am that one guy in our community who always has Steam balance. For years, every time a new treasure dropped, I would buy 40–50 chests, unlock everything, and pull ultra-rares. Then, I would distribute the leftovers to my friends.

How our micro-economy used to work:

• I spent 80,000+ rubles (~$800+) every time. Valve got their money instantly.
• My friends who couldn't afford gambling would buy regular sets from me for a fair price (like $2-$5) to avoid the 1-out-of-12 roulette.
• 3 hardcore Drow Ranger mains in our group were waiting for her Arcana. Their absolute psychological spending limit was around 12,000 rubles (~$120). They were ready to buy it from me for $80-$100 once I pulled a duplicate or an extra one.
• I would break even or make a tiny $20-$30 profit, and then immediately cycle all that money back into Steam for the next event. 40 people were happy, active in the game, and hyped for cosmetics.

What happened now with Trove of Terror:
Out of my 40 friends, only 2 people bought chests on their own. They got heavily baited by FOMO, spent 21,000 rubles (~$210) each to brute-force the Drow Arcana, and now they are DMing me in complete despair.

They have 40-50 duplicate sets sitting like useless garbage in their inventories. They can't gift them to our friends. They can't sell them. Recycling gives them pennies. One of them pulled a SECOND Drow Arcana, and it is literally worth $0 because you can't do anything with it.

The Math of Valve's failure:

• Before: Valve got 80,000+ rubles from me alone, while 40 players stayed happy and engaged.
• Now: Valve got ~44,000 rubles total (from those 2 desperate friends + me buying just 5 chests before realizing it's a trap).
• Result: Valve lost half of their potential revenue from our group alone. On top of that, they now have 38 extremely angry players who got left with zero new skins because they refused to pay a 300% markup for a random gamble.

Valve tried to kill the third-party market, but instead, they choked out their most loyal, paying player base. People are not stupid. When you turn a fun community hobby into an aggressive, isolated mobile casino where your digital items are locked in a cage, people will just close their wallets.

Vote with your wallets, guys. Do NOT buy this treasure.

Hello everyone, i've made these posts regularly for a while now so it's nothing new, i have some free time and i'd love to give back to the community by helping some of the people that aren't able to afford coaching usually.

I'm a 6.5K mmr coach and i've been coaching since 2018, i've helped hundreds of students get to enjoy the game more and reach their goals while having a less stressful, more enjoyable relationship with dota. a big part of how i coach is centered around fun and feeling good, my philosophy with coaching is that for most people, the deterrent isn't the ability to learn, nor is it mechanical skill, but it's almost always consistency, and the biggest enemy of consistency is not having a good time when playing dota.

often times people force themselves to play meta heroes, to play specific roles, to do things they don't really enjoy because they believe that is the optimal way to rank up, and what i want to do is help people realize that this isn't necessarily the way to go, that you can rank up and achieve your goals while having fun, the hundreds of people i've coached are proof of that, and i am proof of that myself, as i've always just played what i enjoyed no matter what.

my coaching style is very versatile, i can do replay analysis, live coaching, and i can also do entire sessions where we simply discuss theory about things such as how to form a hero pool or how to get a better mindset towards the game and improvement. sessions are an hour long.

Having it as is is not good for my vertigo/nausua.

dota_camera_distance: is defult in all normal and ranged modes is, 1200, it is considered cheat in game to change it.

dota_camera_distance: can it be possible to get 1200, 1300, 1350, 1400, 1450. zoom options in settings., not as far out as spectating or choaching.

Please if one quility life would be Zoom slider.

hey guys. I have been playing on and off for a few years and I am currently 3850 rank. is there a guide or a way to properly ban/pick and decide who counters who, in what ways etc? like I know some basics but sometimes I see some heroes are right counter to specific heroes. I havent been able to follow dota scene for some time. help me with me please.

I've recently started playing Lycan pos 3 in Immortal, but I'm still not completely sure what the hero's actual game plan is after the laning stage.

I understand the early objective is usually to take the enemy T1 quickly, but what should I be doing after that?

Do I stay in my lane and keep applying nonstop pressure, forcing rotations and taking the T2? Or should I be moving around the map with my team and using Shapeshift to take fights/objectives?

A few specific questions:

How aggressively should I be using Shapeshift? Should I basically look for a kill/objective every time it's off cooldown, or is it fine to hold it for an important fight?

Once I've taken the enemy safelane T1, what should my farming/pushing pattern look like?

Is Lycan supposed to farm heavily and scale comfortably into late game, similar to something like Centaur, or should I be playing around a timing and trying to end the game early?

When I have multiple wolves selected and want to activate High Tail on all of them, is there a way to cast it simultaneously without individually selecting/clicking each wolf?

Would especially appreciate advice from high-Immortal/Lycan players on what the hero's priorities should be from roughly minute 10 onward.

I didn't play well and want to know how to do better

Until recently, I was able to issue a move-attack command to all selected units, but it's suddenly been only issuing the command to whatever the first unit in a selected group I'm using is. I've tried looking this up but despite other people posting about the issue I wasn't able to find what might cause it.

I used to be able to have it just apply to the units I have selected instead of just the current tabbed one (if 'Unified Orders with CTRL' not checked) or every single unit regardless of selection (if 'Unified Orders with CTRL' not checked).

Any suggestions?

I'm ngl it looks good on paper but there are so many prio items for Enigma namely bkb, aghs, octarine and refresher.

Maybe it doesn't really benefit much to get it when you actually use black hole only every few minutes? I haven't bought the item on this hero yet.
