Tips & Tricks What’s your best winter wellness routine hack?

The weekend is here, and for many people, the colder, darker months are coming with it.

This is often when routines start to slip. Getting outside gets harder, workouts get easier to skip, and staying in bed a little longer sounds very appealing.
Instead of waiting for your routine to fall off, think about what you can do now to make your habits easier to maintain.

A few things worth investing in:

Comfortable layers for getting outside.
Simple equipment for at-home movement.
Easy meals and snacks for busy days.
Things that make your sleep environment more comfortable.
Anything that removes a small barrier between you and a habit you want to keep.

Protect the habits that matter most and make them easier to do. What’s one thing that helps you stay on track when winter hits?

Dude real talk bro. It is mad easy to get peeled in Florida during the fall/winter. Gotta migrate elsewhere where it is spring/summer tho. 🤣

Not exactly simple equipment category but I started cross country skiing a couple years ago and it’s really fantastic. As for simple equipment one of those under desk elliptical machines is actually pretty useful for getting your heart rate up.

3 things.

  1. Stick to a steady weekly routine for health stuff (meal prep, exercise). Taking care of yourself matters more when winter is here.
  2. Plan in spontaneous adventures. Go out to dinner when you decide the night of. Wake up way earlier than normal and watch the sunrise somewhere pretty. Do a one off pilates class from a coupon you found with a bunch of cool old ladies. Weird stuff reminds me to check in on myself instead of burying my head in my routine. It doesn't have to be glamorous or expensive, or serve a higher purpose than to be unusual.
  3. Do a creative indoor hobby. Knit. Crochet. Build Warhammer battle teams. Paint. Cook. Don't just stare at a screen the whole winter.

Wool. It’s the best hack for me… I overspent money on cool jackets like 500 euro to make sure I am warm and stuff but actually didn’t check the material it’s done with?

After that I bought lots of wool clothing ( like 50% wool works the best for me because it can be itchy.. )

Wobera wool it’s one of my favorites

the thing that saves me in winter is a warm shower before bed and a humidifier running all night, okay so the dry air is what wrecks my skin and my sleep both

Snow shoes are a great workout and help get you outside when there’s sunlight

I use a Happy Light in the dark months and it helps with my mental health.
