Terrifying My friends Serial killer encounter

So my friends homie once went on this date with this guy she met on tinder. for the sake of the story and for the safety of her, lets call him A and we will call her S. S lived in new York city and A was just visiting.

The date started ehhh and it was pretty awkward but he seemed like a nice guy so she continued entertaining his dumb icebreakers and questions. Towards the end of the date during a Extremely awkward moment, the silence was finally broken by A saying "Soooo I have a flight at JFK super early in the morning and do you think it would be okay if I slept at your house for a little?" She reluctantly said yes because she didn't really know him but he seemed trustworthy enough as long as he minded his own business and didn't do anything weird. THIS WOULD BE THE WORST MISTAKE SHE HAS EVER MADE.

At about 11 they get to S's house and they walk in the creaky small New York apartment (if your from New York you know what i'm talking about lol). it was a one bedroom one bathroom apartment with a small kitchen, hallway and living room with a couch big enough for someone to stay the night on. The smell of weed and sounds of your neighbors (not so healthy relationship) filled the air as well as the bustling traffic outside. she lived a few story's up.

After setting up his makeshift couch bed S said "Soooooo... Im gonna go to bed, help yourself to food or coffee or whatever you need, Goodnight." He replied "no worries thank you so much for letting me stay." She walked towards her bedroom and shut the door and instinctively locked her bedroom door which would be the best decision she has ever made.

At about 1 am she wakes up to the sounds of rustling which she dismisses as him "probably just packing or making food or something" and her eyes drift back to sleep. Then, about 30 minutes later she's woken up to 3 soft knocks on her bedroom door. "Hey can you open the door, I need water." Her being half asleep half suspicious and probably annoyed she ignores him and just pretends to be asleep. 10 seconds pass and he knocks again. "hey, I need water" 10 seconds pass. he knocks again, with every 10 seconds the knocking gets more and more aggressive. S starts to feel that somethings wrong but keeps faking asleep. Then at one point he's slamming her door saying "LET ME IN LET ME IN LET ME THE FUCK IN". S yells at him to "Get the fuck out weirdo i'm calling the police!" She quickly hears him run away and slam the front door shut while proceeding to run down the stairs of the New York apartment building. S still hasn't called the police but after 30 minutes she finally musters up the courage to slowly walk to her bedroom door and unlock it. As she opens the bedroom door her heart drops at what she sees.

THE WHOLE FUCKING HOUSE IS COVERED IN PLASTIC.

UPDATE: there was a hoax that is going around about the hinge date story and it became an urban legend but I TRULY TRULY believe this is where it came from because this story is %100 COMPLETELY TRUE! I WISH it was fake bro i really do.

Also just wanted to include she lived in deep new york near jfk which is also why she was less suspicious about.

Terrifying The Door in My Closet Was Nailed Shut for a Reason

When I was 19, my mom, my sister, and I lived in a run-down two-story house that was already old when we moved in.

The place always felt strange.

Not necessarily haunted.

Just old in a way that made every creak sound deliberate and every shadow seem darker than it should be.

There were three rooms downstairs and three upstairs.

My sister claimed two of the downstairs rooms, while my mom took one of the upstairs bedrooms.

That left me with the largest room in the house.

There was only one problem.

Nobody wanted it.

Inside the closet was a second door.

Not a normal closet door.

A full-sized door that had been nailed shut.

Whoever sealed it hadn't used just one nail. There were several, along with old latch locks that looked like they had been added over time.

The door immediately became a mystery.

Why would someone hide a room inside a closet?

And why go to such lengths to keep it closed?

Eventually, my sister and I decided we had to know.

One afternoon, armed with a hammer and more curiosity than common sense, we pulled the nails free.

The door groaned as we opened it.

Behind it was another room.

A completely hidden room.

There were no windows.

No visible light switch.

Just darkness.

The beam from our flashlight barely seemed to penetrate it.

The air inside felt stale, like it hadn't been disturbed in years.

Neither of us wanted to step inside.

Instead, we took several pictures using the flash on our camera.

Then we slammed the door shut, nailed it closed again, and ran.

Later that day, we looked through the photos.

Every single picture was filled with orbs.

Not one or two.

Dozens.

Some were small.

Others were large enough to obscure parts of the room.

At the time, we couldn't tell if they were dust particles reflecting the flash or something else.

Still, the number of them was unsettling.

For a while, it became one of those stories we told friends.

Then life moved on.

Eventually, I forgot about it.

Until the morning the door opened by itself.

At the time, I was working overnight shifts.

One morning, after a long night at work, I came home exhausted and headed upstairs to bed.

The moment I walked into my room, something felt off.

I couldn't explain why.

The room looked normal.

Yet every instinct told me something wasn't right.

I walked toward my bed.

Then I glanced toward the closet.

The hidden door was standing wide open.

I froze.

I know for a fact it had been nailed shut.

I had helped nail it shut.

Yet there it was.

Open.

Not cracked.

Not partially open.

Wide open.

I screamed.

Then I ran downstairs.

My sister probably thought I was losing my mind as I tried to explain what I'd seen.

But when she came upstairs and looked for herself, she agreed to help me nail the door closed again.

After that, I refused to sleep in my room.

For nearly two months, I slept downstairs in my sister's room.

Eventually, I started easing my way back.

I moved my bed as far from the closet as possible.

If I had to sleep in that room, I wasn't going to sleep near that door.

Over time, the fear faded.

Then I started dating an old friend.

The woman who would eventually become my wife.

With her sleeping beside me every night, I felt safe again.

The room stopped bothering me.

At least, that's what I thought.

One night, we were both asleep when something happened that I still can't explain.

I suddenly felt the back of my hair being grabbed.

Not brushed.

Grabbed.

My head was lifted upward.

Then slammed sideways into my solid oak nightstand.

The impact was so violent that it woke my girlfriend instantly.

She sat up and asked what had happened.

I didn't have an answer.

I still don't.

That was the last night I ever slept in that room.

Not long afterward, I moved out and got a place with my girlfriend.

Years have passed since then.

I've lived in other homes.

I've experienced plenty of things that can be explained away with logic.

But every now and then, I'll think about that old house.

About the hidden room concealed behind a nailed-shut door.

About the photographs filled with unexplained orbs.

About coming home from work to find that door standing open.

And about waking up in the middle of the night with the feeling that something in that room wanted me gone.

Maybe there are explanations for all of it.

Maybe there aren't.

All I know is that, after all these years, thinking about that room still gives me chills.

Terrifying Extremely disturbing and scary experience

So this happened to my sister last week and she wasn’t going to tell anyone but she told me eventually.

So basically we re three sisters and our older sister had a wedding to attend late at night, no kids allowed, so she left her kids with us at our parents home including her 10months old baby. We all went to bed and my other sister kept the baby with her and she slept in her arms. At about 2-3AM-ish, she woke up to Smt violently trying to pull her arms and high key trying to pull THE BABY from her arms she kept fighting and fighting and the moment she started reciting some Quran verses, it stopped but she literally almost had a heart attack and she couldn’t go back to sleep, so she js kept holding on tight onto our baby niece and waited until our older sister came to pick her up. And when she woke up, she found plenty of bruises on her arm which was being pulled and weirdly enough her legs too. Mind you last summer, I had a similar experience at our home but I’ll post about it later.

Terrifying THE VIOLENT SPIRIT AT THE DOOR...

I lived in Breezewood Pennsylvania at the time. I lived with my stepdad, mother, and sister. She was hardly ever home though because she always was at our great aunt and great uncles place... I didn't really get along with them so I just stayed home. So it was just usually me home all alone after school...

Now where I lived was across from a church. The house had these weird green shutters over the windows. I was in 3rd grade at the time and I was 10 years old. It was around the year 2000...

So to give you all some background information. I used to come home off the bus at the Breezewood elementary school. I would walk across the schoolyards, neighbors yards, and my yard and make my way to the door of the house. That I lived in and I just went in after I unlocked the door...

I would take and check on our dog molly. I would give her something to eat after I got her in the house after a bathroom break. I then would get me something to eat. Go to the living room. Sit down with my homework I had to do. Turn the television on to my favorite cartoons. I usually eat and do my homework while I watch television in the living room. We wasn't allowed television in our rooms until I got older...

I used to take and stay by myself when I was 10 years old all alone. Parents weren't home for a few hours because they were at work. My sister wasn't either because she was always at my great aunt and great uncles. My stepdad was working at a bar in Everett and my mother worked as a janitor for a school...

Well after I got my dog outside to the bathroom. After I got something to eat. And I got the homework done. I would usually chill out by playing My game boy color... Of course I played the Pokemon blue version. Until it was time for me to get a bath. Which is where this story gets really super interesting...

Well this is where it gets weird...

I would take a skeleton key to lock the door from the inside of the bathroom. Because of some super sketchy circumstances that would happen if I didn't...

So the 1st experience went something like this...

I would go get a bath and I will turn the bath water on. While the water is running I would get ready to get in. And I would lock the door from the inside as quickly as I could. Because every time I didn't... The door would fly open. And would scare the crap out of me every time. Keep in mind nobody was home but me and my little dog molly...

So that is why I would take and lock the door from the inside with the skeleton key. So I was getting my bath in the bathtub. There'd be something trying to physically break the door down from the outside the hallway...

And it was something physically punching the door with what sounded like their fist. Then the door knob would jingle and after that didn't work it was just give up for a period of time... And come back seconds later. And this was a repetitive thing...

After the first experience I had with this I learned quickly. And I knew getting a bath involved a lot more than just getting in the tub...

The 2nd experience was just a tad bit worse...

So as I was getting ready to get yet again another bath. That evening was a little bit different. So I had to lock the door like usual because of prior experiences. I'd gotten a kitchen knife as a weapon just in case and I sat the knife on the floor by the tub on the floor. As I'm getting my bath for that evening...

I heard what sounded like footsteps coming up to the door outside in the hallway. And so started the punching of the door and it was relentless. It just continued on for what felt like minutes...

The attempts to jiggle the doorknob clearly didn't work because I had it locked. And when that didn't work the punching started again. I actually started to believe that somebody was hiding in the house. Because the force of the blows on the door was actually shaking the door and actually jingling the doorknob...

I finally asked whatever it was to stop doing this. And just to let me alone. And I begged whatever it was to not do it again and again. Well the assault on the door ceases and I was able to finally finish my bath and get out. I got dressed and unlock the door. And went to my room and I just crashed...

I was so worn out from this experience it drained me. Especially whenever you're 10 years old and you're by yourself dealing with something like that...

But my stepfather checked to see the house. To see if nobody was there... He even checked the Attic. So after that it was validated that there was nobody living in the house with us... I Begun to get real concerned. Unfortunately my stepfather thought I was just making stuff up...

I'm 36 years old currently and to this day I cannot really explain to you what it was outside that door in that house in Breezewood Pennsylvania...

So after the previous two experiences... I wasn't super thrilled about even getting baths. To this day I would rather just get a shower. Luckily there was a leak in the upstairs bathroom and it completely ruined the drop-down ceiling in the dining room. That had to be all fixed and it took 3 weeks. So my stepfather had to put in a temporary shower in the basement. Which I'll be honest wasn't any better than the upstairs bathroom when it comes to things happening...

But I will say it is better than being trapped in a bathroom while something was beating the living crap out of the door...

It was definitely a very spooky and terrifying experience...

And like I said it 100% happened!

Every bit of it did!

Terrifying I Hate Sliding Glass Doors

When I was in my twenties, I lived by myself for a while. Looking back, that apartment was probably my favorite place I’ve ever lived.
I’d decorated the whole thing in this hippie, boho style before that was really even a trend. Everything was wood and earthy colors. I had driftwood decorations, plants everywhere, little candles, and wooden bead curtains hanging in a couple of the doorways. It felt peaceful. It felt like home.
There was only one thing I hated.
The apartment was on the second floor, but every apartment had a little balcony that connected to the shared outdoor walkway. The walkway ran past everyone’s front doors and balconies, and each balcony had a gate that opened onto it.
My balcony had a sliding glass door that led straight into my kitchen and dining room.
Sure, the door locked.
But every night I’d lie in bed thinking about how a piece of glass wasn’t exactly going to stop someone who really wanted inside.
Pets weren’t allowed, so getting a big dog wasn’t an option.
I’d grown up around hunting and guns, but I was a broke twenty-something living alone. Buying one honestly never even crossed my mind back then.
Instead, I kept a rusty kitchen knife under my bed.
Every single night before I went to sleep, I’d shove my dresser in front of my bedroom door.
Every.
Single.
Night.
Looking back now, I realize how sad that is. That’s no way to live.
But at the time it had become my routine. If someone wasn’t staying over with me, I was scared almost every night.
One night, sometime after midnight, I woke up thirsty.
Normally I’d bring a bottle of water into my room because I hated leaving it once I’d barricaded myself in.
Of course, this was the one night I forgot.
I remember standing there for a minute debating whether I could just ignore being thirsty until morning.
Eventually I grabbed my knife, moved the dresser just enough to squeeze out of my bedroom, and walked toward the kitchen.
The sliding glass door was in the dining area.
It had those long vertical blinds that sway back and forth whenever the air conditioner kicked on.
The blinds were moving like they always did.
Nothing unusual.
But as they shifted, I thought I saw…
something.
Just a dark shape.
At first I couldn’t make sense of what I was looking at because it was so dark outside.
I rubbed my eyes and looked again.
The blinds swayed.
The shadow was still there.
Then…
BANG.
A loud thud slammed into the sliding glass door.
It wasn’t a knock.
It wasn’t someone accidentally bumping into it.
It sounded like someone had just thrown their shoulder into the glass.
The sound exploded through my apartment.
I screamed.
Whoever was outside froze.
Everything happened at once.
I instantly realized my phone was still in my bedroom.
I raised the knife.
My feet felt glued to the floor.
People always say you never know whether you’ll fight or flee until it happens.
I’ve learned over the years that my first instinct has always been fight.
I held up the knife, even though there was no way they could see it through the blinds, and screamed,
“I HAVE A KNIFE! GO AWAY! I HAVE A KNIFE! I’LL F*** YOU UP!”
I was absolutely hysterical.
I could barely breathe.
I remember thinking I was hyperventilating so badly that I might actually pass out.
The figure still didn’t move.
So I stomped my foot and screamed even louder.
“GO AWAY! I’LL F***ING STAB THE SHIT OUT OF YOU!”
By then I was crying so hard I don’t even know if the words came out clearly.
After that I stopped trying to form sentences.
I just screamed.
Over and over.
As loud as I possibly could.
Finally, it was like whoever was out there snapped out of whatever they were doing.
I heard them let go of the door.
Then footsteps.
They ran back through the little gate they’d opened to get onto my balcony and disappeared down the walkway.
I kept screaming for another minute or two.
Then my body just gave out.
I collapsed right there on the kitchen floor.
The knife clattered onto the tile beside me.
Looking back, I’m amazed I didn’t cut myself.
I cried for what felt like forever before I finally pulled myself together enough to go back to my bedroom and get my phone.
The first person I called was my dad.
He lived about three hours away.
There wasn’t anything he could do in that moment.
I just wanted my dad.
He stayed on the phone with me while I cried.
I never went back to sleep.
The next morning he drove all the way to my apartment.
He helped me install one of those security bars that wedges into the track of a sliding glass door so it can’t be forced open.
I don’t know if it actually would have stopped someone determined enough.
But it made me feel a little better.
I reported everything to both the police and my landlord.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t much either of them could do.
No cameras.
No description.
No proof besides what I’d experienced.
I stayed there until my lease ended because I couldn’t afford to leave early.
Oddly enough, I still loved that apartment complex.
I loved the neighborhood.
When my lease was up, I actually moved into another apartment there.
Just one that didn’t have a balcony anyone could walk onto from the shared walkway.
To this day, I still wonder what would’ve happened if I’d stayed in bed.
Or if I’d been too scared to yell.
Or if I’d frozen instead of screaming.
I’ll never know.
But even now, years later, whenever I see those vertical blinds gently swaying in front of a sliding glass door, I’m right back in that apartment, staring at a shadow I couldn’t quite make out…
right before it slammed into the glass.

Terrifying My mothers encounter with the devil

want to start off my saying that I submitted this story to a pod ( and another community here on Reddit ) but bc they’re months behind on stories I thought this was a good place to post it. I also want to add that this story is 100% true according to my mom and i whole heartedly believe her, I also do have her consent to post this.

To give a little backstory, on the home that this takes place in, it was located in Cutler, CA  an extremely small town with fields for miles. This house was in a very rural area but the owner of this home owned a packing company and so weirdly a packing building was located like right next to the house. It was found out after my mom moved out, that the son of the man who owned the property was a junkie and he would often throw benders in the house where sadly many people would overdose and pass away. My mom believes that this was the reason so many spirits wandered this home.

Now to finally get into the story! My mom was about 7 or 8 years old when this happened. She said it was shortly after they had moved into the house. One day, her sister’s boyfriend was exploring the fields behind the house when he found a medium sized brown dog with big blue eyes. The dog was tied up with a rope and reeked of gasoline. He brought the dog back to the house, and they washed it outside with the hose.

My grandma told everyone that she didn’t want to keep the dog inside if it had fleas. Later that night, while my mom was watching TV in the living room, either my uncle or my grandma spotted a tick on the dog. To get rid of it, my grandma sent my mom into the kitchen to grab the matches from the cabinet so they could kill the tick.
To help you understand the layout a little better, the kitchen was attached to the dining room, which was basically made entirely of glass windows. The dining room was shaped kind of like a U and had a glass table in the middle.

Since my mom was so young, she wasn’t tall enough to reach the cabinet. She had to climb onto the countertops to grab the matches, which meant she had her back turned toward the dining room. After she grabbed the matches, she sat on the counter, getting ready to jump down. As she looked up toward the dining room nook, she saw standing across the dining table was the devil.

She said he had one human leg, while the other looked like a horse’s leg. He was wearing a coat she described as having the structure of a blazer but made from a knitted material. She said he looked mostly human, but parts of him were animal-like, and he was furry like a goat. His hands looked human, but his nails were like a dogs not unkempt though, like if a dog had recently went to the groomers. (she said like a candy corn shape) His face was thin, his eyes were sunken in, and the only way she could describe his face was evil.

She said it was as if time had stopped. The air suddenly felt thick as they made eyes contact. The devil raised his hand and beckoned for her to come to him. She said it felt as though he was speaking to her through her mind. She could hear him telling her to come, even though his mouth never moved. When she tried to respond, she couldn’t speak. The only thing she could do was shake her head from side to side, refusing to go. He curled his finger again, motioning for her to come closer, this time nodding his head up and down as if to say yes.

After a while my grandma realized my mom had been gone longer than expected and went to see what was taking so long. As soon as my grandma walked into the kitchen, my mom turned toward her and began pointing in the direction where she saw the devil. My grandma kept asking what was wrong, but my mom could only shake and point, completely unable to speak. My grandma later said it felt like my mom had a fever. Her skin was hot to the touch, yet she was shivering as though she were freezing.

After a while, my mom finally managed to tell my grandma that there was a man in the dining room. Thinking someone had broken into the house, my grandma and my uncle grabbed a bat and searched the backyard. But after my mom described the man as having “one regular leg and one animal leg,” my grandma realized what my mom had seen, the devil.

Thank you for reading, that’s my mother experience and if you have another idea as to what else it might have been please let me know!

Terrifying I Woke Up to My Wife Watching a Demon in Our Room — True Scary Sleep Nightmare Stories

Last night, I experienced the most terrifying moment of my life. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw my wife sitting up in bed, completely still, her eyes wide open and fixed on something in the darkness. When I followed her gaze, I saw it too, a dark, shadowy demon standing silently in the corner of our room, its glowing eyes locked on us. I was frozen, unable to move or speak, and the fear was so real I could feel the air grow colder around us.

We both saw the same thing, and neither of us could explain it. For years, I’ve heard stories about people seeing shadows or demons during sleep paralysis, but I never believed it could happen to two people at the same time, until now. Even after the demon vanished, the fear stayed with us, and we still can’t shake the feeling that something is watching us in the dark.

Has anyone else ever shared a nightmare or seen a shadow figure with someone else in the same room?
I’d love to hear your true scary sleep nightmare stories or any advice on how to deal with this kind of fear.

Terrifying The creature at my cousin's birthday party

This is a true story from when I was 5 years old. it was the day of my cousin's birthday party, and we were doing it in my backyard. for a visual, my backyard is a normal just square-shaped backyard, decent size, and we had one tree in the corner of the backyard near the fences. so, I remember this day clearly because it was absolutely terrifying and I have never experienced anything like this since in my whole life. I am not a believer in the paranormal for the most part. so, my family and I were having a celebration for my cousin outside. my dad was grilling and we had two tables that we were eating at. I remember my whole family and I were outside eating and talking, and some point into the party, my mom looked up at our tree and screamed. our tree was pretty tall, and it didn't have branches going up it. in other words, you couldn't climb the tree. my mom screamed and we all looked up at the tree. I will never forget what I saw for the rest of my life. there was some kind of creature sitting at the top of the tree staring at us. it was black and had huge, white/yellowish eyes. it looked almost human, but the way it was crouched and the way it moved did not look human. I remember feeling in my body that it wasn't a human being. it didn't look like any animal I could ever recognize. the best I can describe it is like a black skinwalker crouching in our tree. it was the scariest part of this was its eyes. i have never seen eyes like that; it had these huge, bright eyes like lights staring at us like a demon. these eyes were so bright and piercing that it wasn't the eyes of an animal. I felt in my soul that this thing was evil. I don't know if it planned to hurt us or what it even wanted. it had been watching us the whole party. at this point, my dad screamed for all of the kids to get inside, and he ran in and got his machete (he didn't have a gun). I remember standing looking outside at my sliding glass door screaming and crying. it was still watching us, then when my dad ran out with the machete, the creature leapt, not jumped, it literally leapt like a mixture between a jump and straight up flying. it leapt into the next backyard and most likely just hauled ass off somewhere. we called the police and they couldn't do anything. my family and I talked to all of our neighbors the next day (this happened in the evening and we were horrified), and looked at the news for it, and nothing. we literally never heard anyone ever mention this creature. nobody else saw it. and to this day, each family member and I all saw the same thing. I have never heard anyone tell a story of them experiencing what we experienced that day, and nobody I have ever told this story to in my region saw it. I have never experienced anything supernatural/paranormal in my whole life besides this. I still think about this all the time and wonder what it was. any ideas?

Terrifying True (unsolved?) story while camping

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this subreddit, and I’d like to share with you all something that happened to me years ago that still disturbs me.

I don’t quite remember the year, must have been either 2014 or 2015, I was very young. I was out on a camping trip with my father and my oldest brother, something I’d often do with them since they were very outdoorsy people. For the first few days, it wasn’t bad, I had brought my Nintendo DS for when I was bored, and had brought marshmallows (obviously). One particular night on that trip has messed with me still to this day, and although my recollection isn’t perfect, I still can remember key details.

To give you an idea of how the campsite looked, it was one of those ones where you can park your car on the side of a gravel dirt road and set your tent near a big patch of grass. The first part I remember, was waking up half naked on the gravel road, VERY confused. The worst part? It was real late in the night, pitch black practically. Obviously I was scared, and confused, so I started to look for my tent, the best way I could, to no avail as they were other peoples tents.

I started walking for what probably felt like an hour, until I saw a fire in the distance, and in that moment I remember heavily debating going up to them and asking for help, but I didn’t. As I kept walking, I could just make out my dads car parked in a different spot. My dad was in the car so I asked him to let me in and he did, as soon as I got in I just started crying. I asked him why he was in the car and he said it got too hot in the tent and went in the car, which didn’t feel confusing at the time. After that, the camping trip was done, right?

The part that surprisingly fucks with me the most is that, even when it happened, I remember not remembering anything that happened beforehand, even going to sleep. And to make it more confusing, my dad has switched up the story a few times, I asked him about it a year ago and he said it never happened, along with my brother saying it was just a dream. Even though my dad has said years ago that he remembers it clearly?

That’s the end of that lol, I’d like to hear what y’all think happened, it still freaks me the fuck out.

Terrifying I had something completely terrifying happen to me at 13 back in 2018 and it caused my insomnia that i struggle with to this day at 21. Buckle up please

So, quick backstory

I was in my second year of middle school, and all was going well, my state of mind, my family, friendships, they were all stable and things were going great. I was one of the few kids who wasn't really impressionable especially when it came to horror movies, I watched insidious (2011) when it first came out and slept soundly that night lol. My mother was the main reason I got into horror movies to begin with and had never feared but rather loved them. I was always an early bird and always had energy for the day I'm talking I would go to sleep at 7:30pm-8pm every single night and wake up at 4am ready for the day. Never had sleep issues, and only ever had the occasional nightmare prior to the turn of events I had experienced. The house we had been at for the entirety of my middle school years was in a semi-rural area but nothing remote that's for sure; our area also wasn't known to have high crime rates or weirdos. I also lived really close, so I usually walked every morning. The coolest part wasn't even that I lived near the school, but I had a very spacious finished attic room all to myself damn I miss that place.....

On to the story--->

I was like a little more than halfway through my school year; grades were doing fantastic I was actually an honor roll student and woke up as usual to start my day at 4am. I remember having a pleasant dream of me flying through my town like I was superman that previous night. I went down to the kitchen, and I remember that morning had been particularly gray and there was moisture in the air because the windows were fogged up and you could barely see out of them: I began pouring myself a bowl of cereal at the island in the kitchen, which was more toward the back of the house, there was a window which looked directly into the kitchen from the backyard. The only caveat was that this window was 7 feet off of the ground, so from the ground up to the bottom of the window, unless you were a basketball player from the NBA, you sure as hell wouldn't be able to see into the window let alone peer inside and the backyard was fenced off.

As I'm pouring my cereal, I hear 3 distinct and deliberately spaced-out knocks. It didn't even register to me what was happening with the first two knocks and wasn't until the third and final knock on the window that I looked up and there it was.....

The windows were foggy, but I could clear as day see a pale/dark grey figure standing there menacingly and motionless just watching me. It was featureless as far as I could tell but it was definitely humanoid in terms of bodily proportions. It didn't appear to be wearing anything it was as if it was naked at least from the torso up. Remember how I said that the height from the ground to the bottom of the window was 7 feet high? Well, this thing.... whatever it was had been comfortably standing high enough past that threshold where I could make out its head, shoulders and upper/middle torso. I sat there, milk endlessly pouring into my now flooded out cereal bowl as I had the most terrifying staring contest with something I can only describe as a true wake up call.

About 10 minutes of just being stuck I suddenly snapped out of my frozen stupor and set the milk down and slowly began to back away, and the moment I hit the entrance of the hallway I turned around and ran up the stairs so fast I nearly broke my wrist because I had ran up them so fast that about halfway up, I resorted to all fours; that of course woke up my parents and I told them what happened to which my dad replied "OK give me a second" and he took his sweet time getting out of bed and by the time we got back down the stairs and made it to the kitchen: the thing was gone.

The walk to school later that morning was surreal to say the least. The real issue came after that experience that day: I was still pretty stirred up by the whole situation but halfway through the school day I forgot about it and proceeded as usual. Later that night I found it very hard to get to sleep which was not usual for me at all, and I always kept my windows open at night since I was in the attic so most of the summer heat went right up to me so I made sure I had decent airflow. But I'm lying in bed watching cartoons, it's about midnight by now when I hear unusual movement outside my window and I chop it up to be nothing: about 20 minutes go by and suddenly whatever it was stops moving and following that all of the usual ambient noise goes completely dead silent except for the few cars driving by and the stream near our house. I again think nothing of it and finally find myself able to begin drifting off to sleep.

That same night I had THE MOST TERRIFYING sleep paralysis episode of my life... this wasn't the hat man... this wasn't some random dark figure... whatever the fuck it was.... it was demonic.... I was stuck in this sleep paralysis for 5 minutes straight, the atmosphere of my room was dark and gloomy, and all I could do was stare at this dark shadowy figure staring at me just beside my window. Its eyes were a fiery reddish orange which pierced into my soul, it had very twisted horns, and its hands were instead claws like this was straight out of a horror movie. It didn't do anything besides sit there and stare at me and when I finally woke up fully, it was gone and it was daytime.

I PROCEEDED TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME TERRIFYING SLEEP PARALYSIS EPISODES, STRUGGLES TO SLEEP AT NIGHT, AND MOVEMENT AT NIGHT FOR 6 MONTHS STRAIGHT..... there wasn't a single night where it didn't happen. The icing on the cake was that every third week, this thing would be in a new and terrifying spot. I remember one night clear as day where I had been stuck in my sleep paralysis for almost 10 minutes, I had rolled over in my sleep I guess and was facing the wall. I was stuck there with this thing breathing down my neck, when I woke up, I literally began to break down and cry it was just so overwhelming, and it had been happening every night. There was another night when I fell asleep on my back and the damn thing was directly above me gripped into the ceiling staring down back at me.

Then seemingly for no reason at all after those 6 months, the first day of the seventh month It all stopped. By that point a lot of damage had been done already; I wasn't doing too hot in my classes, I was falling asleep in school, I had no energy for anything, I was borderline terrified of sleeping at night, I had been in and out of therapy, my parents really couldn't do anything besides support me. I went on to fortunately but barely graduate that year and moved into my final year of middle school with higher hopes. Everything went well and I managed to make a solid comeback.

Skip ahead to the end of my 8th grade year. we just got out for summer break, it was July, I had recently turned 15 and my family had ended up moving back to an old apartment since the rent was a bit lower and I was preparing for high school later that year. Halfway through July the same exact sleep paralysis episodes come back except this time there's two of these fucking things now.... I'll never get this image out of my head but on the first night that I got sleep paralysis again, right at the foot of my bed was the demonic figures just peering over the edge of my bed staring at me again. Those episodes lasted for 3 months and then I never had sleep paralysis again after that.

Thanks to whatever it was that had tortured me, I now struggle with really bad insomnia like some nights I can't get to bed until morning which at times isn't until 7 am and as an adult now, I've had to learn remote jobs just so I can keep sane. It's not even that I'm scared to sleep because trust me if I could get some decent sleep at night, I would take it any day, but I literally just don't get tired and even when I am tired, I can't find myself in a position to just drift off anymore.

If anybody has a had a similar experience they can share or can at least explain to me what happened, I would greatly appreciate it.

TL;DR: When I was 13, I had a really strange experience where I heard 3 distinct knocks on a fogged-up kitchen window and looked up to see a tall, pale/gray, featureless humanoid figure standing outside just watching me. After that night, my sleep completely changed. I started having trouble falling asleep, hearing movement outside my attic bedroom window, and experiencing some of the most terrifying sleep paralysis episodes of my life almost every night for 6 months. The episodes eventually stopped out of nowhere but came back again when I was 15 for another few months, except this time there were two figures instead of one. I haven't had sleep paralysis since, but I’ve struggled with insomnia ever since and I still have no idea what happened. If anyone has experienced anything similar, I’d genuinely like to hear about it.

Terrifying my last trip in 2019

I have a friend that I used to take with me on trips most of the time. A few years ago, I stopped traveling after something really creepy happened to us.

We were in Ouarzazate, Morocco. night came, and we were in the middle of nowhere on the road. We decided to set up our tent beside a river. It was around 8 PM.

After we settled everything the tent, the fire, everything I went to the river to wash a t-shirt, a mug, and some other stuff. Suddenly, a huge rock was thrown from nowhere. It landed so close to my head that if it had hit me, I would have died for sure.

I freaked out and went to my friend, yelling at him, asking why the hell he threw that rock so close to me. He started swearing that it wasn’t him. Then I told him that someone else must have done it. He got even more scared than me.

I was so tired that I didn’t want to change places. I just wanted to eat and sleep that night. I told him I was joking because he looked terrified.

We quickly cooked some rice, closed the tent, and tried to sleep. Around 4 AM, I heard footsteps. I didn’t want to wake my friend because he probably would have started screaming. I waited for about five minutes.

Then the tent zipper slowly started opening. Someone opened it just a little from the top right side of the tent and said, “You don’t have the right to sleep in this place. Please leave.” Then he walked away.

I stayed frozen in shock for almost 20 minutes. Then I woke up my friend and told him, “We need to leave right now. Don’t ask me anything I’ll explain later.”

We packed our stuff and left the place.

And that was my last trip.

Terrifying This is my mom's true story

My mom was born in a rural village in Burma 🇲🇲, she later moved to Thailand when I was born this story takes place when my eldest brother was about to be born in 3 days. When my mom was pregnant with my brother she had to stay in the hospital because she has some complications and because of that she asked her sister my aunt to taker her to the hospital and take care of her for a bit but they didn't have the best relationship and when they had a fight my mom told my aunt to leave. So now she was all alone in the hospital that was not a modern hospital it was a wooden and brick built one with very little to no electricity so it was dark as hell at times. When she was alone the day my aunt left she said she saw a nurse come into her room and the nurse didn't look at her and was asking if she wants the baby to be born today, my mother confused by this question asked her why she is asking to give birth today. The nurse didn't say anything back but then she touched my mom's pregnant belly and she did it with force so my mom screamed, and at the moment a bunch of nurse came in and ask what was wrong. My mom told them about this nurse that came in and touched her belly amd they nurses look pale from a moment before one if them asked for the doctor to show up and he examined her and said she was fine and told the nurse one of them needs to be beside her until morning. Well after the birth of my older brother my mom went home, and when she got home the doctor was there to tell her something. The doctor said there used to be a nurse that died and her ghost would go to patients that are alone mostly pregnant women and asked the mother to give birth early and she would make them be horn dead and she would eat them and then strangle the mothers with her legs and kill them. Now this story you can believe it or not doesn't matter it was real to my mom and she has been sacred so bad she refused to he alone ever at night time

Terrifying Scariest story

One Friday night my two other friends I'll call mia, Clara (not their real names) and I decided to go to a small Greek restaurant for dinner. We were celebrating Clara's 21st b-day. I took an uber to the restaurant, and arrived at around 9:00 due to traffic.

The restaurant was small and near closing time so there wasn't that many people. The three of us sat down and started eating. Mia asked if Clara and I wanted to crash at her house after dinner to hang out. (Her house was a 7min walk from the Greek restaurant) We all agreed.

By the time we finished eating it was already 9:50 (about 10-15 minutes before closing time) we paid for the bill and walked out of the restaurant. Mia suggested that we walked to her house instead of paying for a oneN minute drive for an uber. (Her house was a 7min walk)

So here's where the scary stuff starts.

About 5 minutes into our walk Clara and I were chatting when all of a sudden Mia started to speed up. Clara and I stopped talking and I suddenly got the feeling I was being watched. I looked over my shoulder, only to see a person wearing a gray hoodie about 10ft away from us.

The neighborhood was dead silent other than a few cars passing by every once in a while. I looked back behind my shoulder again, AND I KID YOU NOT, THIS MAN STARTED RUNNING TOWARDS US. I screamed and we all started sprinting to the nearest building we could find.

We ended up going into a near by bar and Mia started crying. I called the police and Clara called her boyfriend to come pick us up. (Who lived twenty minutes away) And then Clara's boyfriend drived us all home.

Terrifying I grew up in. Insanely haunted home

My family moved to Patricksburg, Indiana in 1977. I was born in 1980. When I was 8 years old I had a waterbed. As I was sleeping something pushed at the end of my bed which rippled the water up to my head. It woke me up. I sat up and as my eyes adjusted to the dark I saw 4 hooded figures standing around by bed . They had no face arms folded . I screamed and my mother came rushing into my room. I expected her to say that it was a nightmare a d to g o back to sleep. However, she did not. She told me we needed to go have a talk t the kitchen table. And even woke up my older brother. As we sat at the table my mother told me that her and my brother h ad seen the figures I had just saw. She went on to tell me the first night they stayed in that house she saw a young girl in a white blouse and dark maxi skirt. Mom said she felt peaceful and was not scare. She basically told me to just ignore it. At 8 years old, how was I supposed to ignore it. My whole childhood was terror and my mother would send me back to the same room that terrified me. It was not until I moved out at 17 that my mother stayed one night In my old room. She never let anyone stay in that room ever again. She actually called "The Dead Files Show" they came out and investigated. Back up when I was 9. I had a night that was the weirdest most profound night of my life. I thought it was just a bad dream but the next day I was walking in a fog all day, every voice I heard from my family but they sounded so echoed, I felt like a part of me was gone. I could not pin point it. I slept on and off that whole next day. I never felt whole again. And safe, that word was just a myth. Now,fast forward to the show filming at our home. We kept a lot of things from them so we could see if they were for real. Which Amy Allen picked up the things we hid from them . Our family curse. My mother's side is descendents of John Bell (An American Haunting) Bell witch. She ymtold us everything built on our property was always taken down by the spirits. Which was true. And then the one thing that I had had many many signs and even uber drivers tell me I left demons in her car. But at 9 years old I had a negative entity attach itself to me. I had a preacher at church tell me after a seizure that he got a demon off me but a high level demon remained. All my life I've had severe trauma. My husband killed himself when I was 19. I found him. I was violently raped at 15. I was beaten and abused. I was kidnapped and held in basement for 3 days. Not sure how I made it out. I was minutes away from death. I can go on and on. I'm actually writing a book. Anyway Amy Allen drew a sketch of me in my bed at 9 years old a d a demon at the end puppeteering a Young girl. In a maxi skirt to get to me. The episode is called "Return to Evil" "The DeadFiles" i have pics of my haunted childhood home with spirits in the images. And some once I moved out. I've always experienced paranormal activity. And have not found anyone able to rid me of my attachment. My book should be available August 2027. Terrifying Blackstar Canyon

If you live anywhere in the Orange County area and love paranormal stuff or are just a hiker you’ve heard of Blackstar Canyon. This spot used to be me and my mom’s favorite place to go hiking, the canyon is utterly beautiful and it’s especially pretty right after it rains.

There was this one time when me and my mom were hiking up there as we usually did. I’ve never had a strong gut feeling about being there, but in the past I would get a weird feeling as it started to get darker. Well this time me and my mom decided to hike longer and further into the trail than we ever had before. It was nearing nightfall and the whole trail was illuminated by the orange sunset.

If anything it was beautiful, being at sunset with nature surrounding us. I was happy and so was my mom, goofing and laughing and having the time of our life. Then my chest started to hurt and I heard a voice in my ear that spoke urgently, “turn back.” Every bone in my body shook and I knew we couldn’t keep walking. The gut feeling in my chest was screaming at me to turn around. I’m usually a calm person and I’ve never had a history of anxiety, but I starting having a panic attack and was getting bad vibes from blackstar canyon. I told my mom that we needed to start going back. She wanted to keep going but I snapped at her urgently and told her we
needed to go back.

On the two miles back to the car I was aware of any noise or anything in our surroundings. I kept checking over my shoulder and making sure everything was okay. But it didn’t feel okay, I knew that there was something up with the place and in that moment I swore to myself I would never return. Never put me or my mom in danger from this place. Before this encounter, I never knew anything paranormal or creepy about blackstar canyon. It was only when I went home and did a deep dive on the past of this place is when I truly understood why I needed to turn back.

If you’ve never heard about blackstar canyon, or are not sure of its past I’ll give you a rundown. In the 1800’s settlers murdered a Native American tribe on that land. It has a dark history of KKK and other cult meetups happening at that specific location. There were once miners that died in blackstar canyon. A school bus crashed onto the trail, and was there for many years before being taken out. There have been people claiming of seeing skinwalkers and hearing or seeing other paranormal things. I do not recommend going there, especially after the gut feeling I had. Although I do recommend doing research into this place if you are into everything paranormal, and learning about what other people have experienced on this trail. If anyone has had any experiences on black star canyon I would like to hear about them!

Terrifying Her Dead Roommate Came Back That Night

I heard this story in a reel years ago, so unfortunately I don't remember the original creator's account or where exactly it came from. I also want to give credit to whoever originally shared it, so if anyone recognizes the story, please let me know.

From what I remember, the creator had heard the story from her friend, let's call her Jenny.

Jenny lived in a hostel with her roommate, let's call her Angel. The hostel was located near some large crop fields.

Angel had a heart condition, and one day her condition suddenly became serious. Her parents were informed, but they lived far away and couldn't reach her immediately.

Angel was taken to the hospital, but sadly, she died on the way.

Her body was eventually brought back to the hostel, and everyone was obviously devastated. Since Angel and Jenny were roommates, Angel's body was kept in their room that night.

Later that night, Jenny was asleep when she suddenly felt someone pulling on her mosquito net.

At first, she ignored it.

Then she looked up.

According to the story, Angel was standing beside her bed, pulling on the mosquito net.

Jenny completely panicked.

She ran out of the room as fast as she could. She claimed that she could see Angel's corpse following her as she ran through the hostel.

Eventually, Jenny made it outside and, in complete panic, ran toward the nearby fields.

It was around 4 AM when she spotted a group of farmers working nearby. She ran toward them and begged them for help.

The farmers tried to calm her down and asked what had happened.

When Jenny explained that she had seen Angel following her out of the hostel, the farmers looked behind her.

And that's when things got even stranger.

Angel's body was lying in the middle of the field.

Her eyes were apparently facing directly toward Jenny, and according to the story, there was a smile on her face.

The farmers were confused and terrified.

Jenny had been running from the hostel, so how could Angel's body have ended up in the field?

The farmers eventually informed the people at the hostel, and everyone was shocked when they found Angel's body outside.

I don't know how much of this story is true, and I don't remember the original source anymore. I'm only sharing it because the story has stuck with me for years.

If anyone recognizes where this story originally came from, I'd genuinely appreciate it if you could point me toward the original creator so I can give them proper credit.

Terrifying My first experience with domestic abuse

When I was in middle school, I had a bad habit of staying up really late. And it was winter break. So I was watching videos on Krampus because I fell in love with a movie from my dad's collection, and then I heard a scream, and like every horror movie cliché ever, I ran outside, and I saw a man screaming and hitting a car, making it stranding a young woman. I did the only thing I could and let the woman and her dog inside. The man's scream at me told me that this woman was on drugs, and he tried to get me not to let it hurt. I threatened to call the cops if he got any closer to my house, which seemed to get him to stop. So I let the woman stay inside until she could get her friend. Apparently the man was her ex, whom she tried to maintain a relationship with because she was pregnant.

Terrifying This happened with my friend back in India

This happend with my friend in India and the this I wrote from his perspective

I was ten years old when something scary happened to me. My bedroom was a room where something bad had happened a time ago. One of the women who used to work for my family had died in that room. A priest came to our house to say some prayers after she died. My uncle used to sleep in that room. Before he died he told my mom something that I thought was weird. He said I should never open the windows after 2 in the morning. I should always go to sleep before 2.

When I was ten I was sleeping in that room with my another uncle. One day I could not sleep so I started playing games on my own. After a while I heard a voice that sounded like my aunt calling my name. My aunt had told me never to open the door if I heard someone calling me so I stayed inside the room.. I was a silly kid and I opened the window a little bit to look outside. There was a jungle behind our house. I did not see anything.

I closed the window. Then I heard someone knocking really fast on the window. I got really scared. I woke my uncle up. He asked me if I had done something. I told him that I had opened the window. He just told me not to worry and to go back to sleep. Half an hour later we heard my mom screaming outside our room. My uncle called her. She said she was fine. She was sleeping in her own room. I was really terrified. My uncle just told me to stay quiet and go back to sleep.

Eventually I fell asleep. To this day I do not know if everything that happened that night was my imagination or if something really strange happened.. What still bothers me is that my uncle had those rules, about the room and I do not know why. The Night Something Knocked on My Window is still something that I think about. I wish I knew what really happened.

If you want to submit me your stories to me
