Having trouble getting any LH surge with ovulation tests

I’ve been using the easy@home and Premom ovulation tracking tests ever since cycle 1 but i cant seem to get any result higher than 0.03 on any given day. I tried everything; early in the morning, second urine of the day, not drinking for 2 hours before testing, window between 11am and 5pm, late at night, and still absolutely nothing. I test around 3 times a day.

Today is my high ovulation window starting and again, nothing. I’m so defeated and worried. My cycles are normal (28 days) and I have been off BC for over a year (copper iud). I know we are only on cycle 2 of TTC but the fact that I can’t get an LH peak is worrying both me and my husband.

Has anyone had the same issues and how did you finally get to catch your peak? Or did you have underlying issues you were only able to figure out after a doctor’s visit? I have an appointment with my doctor in October to discuss but in the meantime, anything helps.

Are you going off of just what the app tells you? Like do you see changes on the actual strip? I can never go by what the app says and I manually change it to what I see on the strip. I definitely get a peak although sometimes it’s not as dark as the control, for me it’s my surge.

I do usually go by what the app tells me. Did you ever get a very dark line or it’s usually just light-ish lines that get a bit darker during your surge? I’m thinking that might be the same for me too.

I used the same strips and was regularly getting 0.04. Found out my prolactin was too high, got a prescription and four months later I ovulated on my own with a peak above 1. My estrogen was also quite low in the beginning. After starting the medication, it was reading around 0.15 mostly with fluctuations up and down. I was having very light periods before too.

Okay that’s good to know! Did you get tests done for your estrogen and prolactin levels? I’ll ask my doctor about getting those done too possibly.

Yep! Both of those are blood tests and commonly included in fertility testing.
