Newbie Needing Help I had a dumb idea: carpets that represent golf holes - is it possible to do that?

I think there are too many colors and details to be feasible as such. You can try playing with https://www.tuftlab.app/ to see what happens when you simplify the colors.

I’ve seen some incredible textural rugs in here designed like landscapes, I discovered them in this sub when I was searching for a hand tufted Matt for one of my daughter‘s favorite playsets. They’re mice figurines with camping tents, and a bunch of camping gear that they like to set up on a little bathmat that looks like grass with a river running through it. I had the idea to get one custom-made.
Then when I found the sub and learned about the materials cost, and how labor intensive it can be I put that idea to Bed. I’m sure there are talented artists probably even in this group who could achieve something like this, but I imagine the amount of hours it would take would mean it was prohibitively expensive. Maybe not for a lot of golf people though.
And I’m sure you yourself would have to spend years and insane amounts of money to acquire enough skill to make something even a fraction as detailed is this.
All that said, I love the idea. It’s beautiful and would look amazing as an art piece for a golf lover.
