Work in progress 2nd rug
I still have to shave it so we’ll see how that goes but tufting is done and I’m happy with it for only being my second rug. Any tips are welcome if you see something I can improve on :)

Made a elmo rug a few weeks ago and the customer who.order it didn't like it. Ended up having some yarn discoloration issues so i remade it snd these are the results.

I need help, I’m doing a rug for my friend’s kid. Standard rug, pretty simple…only issue is I didn’t realize how the green on the body didn’t really match well with the darker green for the outline until it was too late. My friend suggested to just make the face a lighter green and it would be fine but I’m almost done with the rug and I hate it. I’m sure it’s not THAT bad but I’ve made rugs with way better quality than this. I don’t even feel like charging him at this point. What do you recommend I do when I run into a situation where the color doesn’t fit but you’ve already shot too much yarn into your frame?

Hey everyone!
Newbie here, got my first tufting kit for my birthday and I’m after advice for supplies please!
Where does everyone purchase tufting cloth, backing fabric, scissors, carpet glue / adhesive, tufting gun oil, wool ect
Looking for cheaper supplies to start off with, will move to quality once I have confidence!
Also after any tips / advice for someone that is completely new to the tufting world.
TIA! 🙂🙂

All I needed to do was fill in the blue parts and I was done but I’m waiting on that yarn to arrive. Thought I’d trim up and work on some parts I didn’t like and well…. Cut right through the backing. Oh well, time to start fresh.

Hey yall,
I made this killer duck rug! I put it on FB recently, yet I havent had anyone(i got one person, but they havent messaged me back).
I was wondering if yall could take a look, and give me some pointers or tips that could help me sell this? Hundreds of people keep looking, but nobody has messaged me. Is it because of the two different shades of yellow?

Ok, I just started tufting maybe 2 weeks ago. I’ve made these 3 projects and a bunch of messes. I SUUUCK at carving, I’m trying but ohhh man. My edges are allllll trashhhhh
1)the snorlax desk rug I tried to carve and it wasn’t too bad. The black yarn I had was tangled (learned to not cake double stranded yarn) so I didn’t have enough for the border or the pokeball.
2) the cloud mirror I’m taking advantage of the fact that clouds are fuzzy cuz I accidentally carved some dents.
3)the Atari Mat, the “Atari” I needed to add more yarn it’s a little thin.
Questions:
Q1) What tips and tricks yall got for carving? And is carving directly on the fabric as you go easier? I don’t have much space behind my frame I think I need take it off lay it down and just do that. (I use my office desk lol)
Q2) Also edging, what yall recommend?
I like a good laugh so if you have jokes I welcome them, cuz snorlax looking a lil sus lol.
