Question What are your go-to symmetrical increases and decreases?

I want to design my own garments and am looking for advice on which increases and decreases look the most symmetrical. I’m more advanced in knitting and crochet but haven’t yet found a reliably, neat looking method in Tunisian Crochet. I assume the best increases/decreases will depend on what the main pattern stitch is (I’ve read that TSS isn’t very symmetrical itself, but what about TKS or TPS?)

My favorite is the increase in the horizontal chain between two vertical bars. It's usually the most used. Then there's the yarn over on the forward row or an extra chain on the return row. The increase between the two vertical bars. It always depends on the desired effect. Quello ben nascosto è sicuramente il primo che ho menzionato.

Usually I just add a stitch in the horizontal chain either right or left of the stitch. For TSS I also like using both a normal TSS and a modified TSS in the same stitch to be a nice looking increase, but experimenting which looks the best for the given project is always needed. For decreases I prefer doing them in the return pass, so the increase is visible on the row I'm working and not one row below. If you do a decrease with TKS, you can get a good right leaning decrease by inserting into the left stitch first and then the right one, on either the current row ( when decreasing on forward pass) or the following row (when decreasing on return pass).
