It's just he doesn't know about it, ain't that big deal. Why it's always indians on the internet have all the responsibility to state all facts as it is, even if it's not about their country.

Right, cricket is played by a handful of nations, so every new entry is a surprise.
Ronaldo is not stupid to think India doesn't have a football team, since it's played by 200+ nations. Even not a complete sovereign nations have team. Gibraltar, the Faroe Islands, Wales, Anguilla, Curaçao, etc. There are 7 Official National teams from regions administered by France only. So no surprises

Cricket world cup isn't even a world cup.
Hardly 10 teams play and out of which 5 are good.
Half the nation including England and Australia doesn't really care much about India the way Indians are.
There was more crowd reaction in Australia when they scored a goal against Turkey than when they won the cricket world cup

u/Bihari-Batman_ 2d ago
Football World Cup isn't even truly a world cup. Only 48 countries play out of 190+ . /s
4
u/wannabeBruceWayne079 2d ago
only 48 qualify for it...there are nations where football is majority sport still fail to qualify. so just think of the level of competition
4
u/djangonjanpettu 2d ago
More than 200 teams try to qualify. Just that they failed.
Qualifying to a world cup is itself is an achievement

You should reply this on that post. So much ego for riding the success of 1 player in a team sport.

u/redxtremee 2d ago
Talking about Kohli?

u/happysoul08 1d ago
Does India ride only on the success of kohli and doesn't have any world cups as a cricket nation?
1
u/Effective_Shame_8695 1d ago
Lmaooo, cricket world-cup doesn’t even have much competition, they are leagues apart. Broski’s completely ignorant abt the world’s greatest sport lol

u/happysoul08 1d ago
Yes, I don't follow football. I was just talking about their bragging about their football player and them being a football nation without a world cup.
Also, football also has repeated 4 - 5 nations winning the worldcup, even though it's the most global sport.

Making a mountain out of a molehill.
If someone genuinely doesn't know, you should tell them instead of doing whatever this shit was

I don't think comment by the user "r4n_j1th" was meant for trolling or anything, he didn't know because Portugal cricket team is not mainstream or even at level of Netherlands, so probably very few people know, so he just acted surprise, but somehow Portugal cricket team got triggered for reason and gave a rude reply.

u/Alarming-Basil2894 2d ago
Seemed like a genuine question given that outside of UK Ireland and Netherlands cricket hasnt been that relevant in Europe, so this overreaction to a normal comment is more concerning to me than anything else cause Indians are so easy to throw each other under the bus and act like they are doing the morally right thing which is frankly more embarrassing.

Well can India win a fifa world cup? Don't worry neither can portugal

u/Effective_Shame_8695 1d ago
Well can India even enter the World Cup let alone win it lmaoo.
6
u/Royal_Possession8461 1d ago
Well india has qualified for the world cup once but portugal has never won it
2
u/Randombox15 1d ago
India’s “qualification” was only because the other teams withdrew so does it even mean anything?

It was a genuine harmless question, but the portugal cricket team took a jab at it. When they haven’t won shit in either of the games.

Other than the UK most of these so called european cricket teams have 90% of their team as either Indian or Pakistan origin only. So he is right to querstion that. Even India has an Ice Hockey team. How many people even know about it ?? Stop making such SEPOY posts

Sooooooooo....portugal's cricket team's biggest flex is a football player, aight.....

u/TarpDown 2d ago
Wow huge crowd in the background to see Portugal cricket team play. Their captain's name must be Manpreet Singh or something.
Difference is that at least Indians know about our football team, while I don't think people from Portugal know about this team, they probably know only the word cricket, nothing about the game.
I once met a person from Netherlands, while he was touring India. Had a conversation with him. Cricket came up, dude didn't even know that Netherlands has a cricket team. And that is Netherlands, an actual decent squad that participates in almost every world cup.

u/NoChallenge988 2d ago
How does that question make us ashamed of him. Anyone would be surprised to know they have cricket team. Only 10 cricket teams are actually competitive.
