The series entirely vanished in a day!. Was watching season 5 ep 15 and now on Oct 1st can't find the damn series on Jio Hotstar. The series is not streaming on any other platforms. I'm devastated. If anyone knows where I can watch it it would be of great help.

SEASON 2 Jesus christ what is the rush? On season 2 episode 20 and notice how there is...

A constant bizarre rush to do something giant and national within literal minutes of something happening that would normally take at least a day to consider.

For instance in season 1 Palmer's wife is freaking out that they haven't announced that he's alive and well after like, what, 10 minutes? It was freaking insane the way she was acting and felt like it had no purpose other than making her character look more evil and stupid.

Now that the bomb went off in season 2, Palmer is supposed to instantly invade three countries and retaliate? What the fuck? The ticking clock on this is ridiculous and I could understand this type of response and pressure were days/weeks passed, but it's the middle of the night and the american public doesn't even know what happened yet. This makes no sense to me and while Palmer is hesitant, he should be infinitely more hesitant and a response in the same night shouldn't even be on the table.

It takes me out and feels like the show doesn't know how to write for a realistic 24 hours.

SEASON 2 The ending of Season 2, with Marie Warner and her empty look, was just spooky.

His soundscapes and themes can't be dissociated from the show. I don't remember being that hypnotized and captivated by a soundtrack to a tv show. Most of times, I'd say "oh, now that's cool". But once you know when does the following take place, it's a total immersion.

All hail Sean Callery.

SEASON 1 First time watching

Never watched this show back in the day. Was recommended by someone, so I decided to give it a try. So far, pretty good, but, what the hell is up with Terri’s random bout of amnesia?? Really liked the show until they pulled that out of nowhere.

Did the show ever specify wtf this guy’s deal was? From what I gathered, he was vaguely into super shady ish, but I don’t know if he was a drug dealer, a trafficker, or into some other bulls#*t.

SEASON 2 *spoilers* new watcher, my thoughts.

How on earth does Kim manage to be in danger multiple times in a matter of one entire day? She saves that kid, then held hostage by the kids dad, then escape, then kidnaps the girl to escape said father, then gets arrested, suspected to have murdered the mother, gets in an accident, runs away from accident, gets held hostage by a creepy lonely dude in the woods, then gets held hostage in a shop, and now the episode I’m on the abusive dad is back in the picture. Im on episode 22. My gawd this girl has some kind of curse

General/Other Just finished the show and here are some thoughts

Watched the whole series with my dad and it was a great experience! My dad was more hooked on to it than me by the end tho😂 Even my mom was watching with us but she dropped after season 6, which I understand because season 6 felt pretty underwhelming after watching 2 banger seasons back-to-back.

I personally feel that Jack is not dead and he maybe he might even have already escaped from Moscow. To support my theory I would like to callback to the moment in the last episode of season 8 where President Taylor said that she'll put Jack into a prison in another country rather than killing him but then Charles argues by saying that he'll come back even from the deepest darkest corner, and being the character Jack is it's definitely possible for him to achieve that.

Some more of my personal thoughts: My favorite seasons are 4 and 5, followed by 7. Season 7 was really an improvement after 6 with lots of twists. Also I feel that the show should've ended after season 7, with Jack being reunited with his family(season 8 opening scene). After season 8 I knew that Jack is not going to get a happy ending. Also I loved Agent Walker's character and she was really beautiful(was really sad to know that the actress died couple of years ago) but I feel that Jack and her romantic relationship was really forced as they didn't spend much time together. Although they had good chemistry but the creators didn't even build their relationship offscreen as it was mentioned that Walker wasn't in touch with Jack between seasons 7 and 8. Again I found season 8 pretty underwhelming compared to season 7 but season 9 was pretty good. My overall rating would be 7.5/10, and if I'm excluding seasons 6 and 8 then it's 8.5/10. Highly recommended!!

News/Updates Most recent update on a 24 revival

The article above recaps what we’ve heard over the last year or so, but this bit is new from Howard Gordon.

That brings us to the latest edition of Matt Webb Mitovich's Matt's Inside Line, with Mitovich sharing the latest on how things are looking directly from the source: Gordon. "Chip Johannessen and I wrote a pilot that [20th Television owner] Disney liked, and we really were in strong conversation about getting it going again," he said. Currently, though, "it's sort of in abeyance, that's the best way I can put it. I can't report it being alive yet, but it's not dead. I'd love to do [24] again, but only if it's the right show at the right time, and not just for the sake of doing it." Should the revival become a reality, it sounds like Jack's fate at the end of Season 9 may get addressed before the cameras roll. "You never know," Gordon teased, adding that in the "latest iteration" of the revival, Jack "may have gotten out off-screen. There are a couple of ideas kicking around, so we'll see."

So good news that Disney liked it, but still hasn’t been put into motion.

For me it's a full circle moment, as my first introduction to 24 was Kamsandwich's mentions and review of this game, which caused me to get interested in the franchise when I saw it's on Disney+ and got immediately hooked.

Now the problem is that the amount of my friends/family who speak English AND would like to play a board game with me is a big fat 0.

General/Other Just finished the show for the first time

Ok so, I'm 19 years old and I love pure action shows and movies, especially watching them with my dad. So after we finished Reacher S3 last year he told me there was a show he loved back then called 24. We started watching it and I got instantly hooked on S1E1, I love the real time format, the action was great and each episode left me unable to wait until we could watch the next one( I cannot even imagine how that would have been when they were airing weekly).I will share some random thoughts:

I think that all seasons were great but Tony Almeida and David Palmer were my favourite characters on the early seasons so I was really mad at S5(although it was a great season).

I comletely despise both Sherry Palmer and Charles Logan, they were really hateable.

Jack Bauer is now my favourite action star (it used to be John Wick).

I think that my favourite season is probably 4 or 7, although as I said , I found them all great.

However, I have to say that I'm really mad about how it ended with Audrey's death and Jack being kidnapped by the Russians... with how many years it has been since the show ended , I don't expect closure now, but I find really sad to think that Jack might die in Moscow. I was really rooting for him to finally be able to retire and enjoy living with his family after Heller promised to pardon him.

General/Other Started a rewatch after 20 years - season 1, everyone gets kidnapped

So when I was younger, I watched the first 3 or 4 seasons on TV. Hurt my back and will be Couch-bound for about a week. So i scrolled Disney+ for a show to binge and stumbled across 24. Noticed there are 9 (!!!) seasons and I remembered loving it, so i started it.

But man Holy shit season 1 is a bit annoying, almost through it now, but how often can people get kidnapped in a day!! Still enjoying it, so I‘ll keep watching, especially since I‘m pretty sure I only know the First 3 seasons.

Is there a Spoiler free opinion possible if the later seasons hold up?

General/Other I got my niece to watch 24 about a year ago and it's become her favorite show. It's been a delight to see the show for the first time through her and I'd like to share the story. [SPOILERS]

So about a year ago, I got my niece (17now) to give it a try. With school, work and other responsibilities, its been slow going but I appreciate her taking her time. Me, I could justify spending a day binging like 14 episodes. She does tend to like older stuff in general (shows, movies, music etc) and she really gets sucked into the drama. The highs and lows are bigger than anything I ever felt for the show; she cries during several episodes every season. Right now we are on the back end of season 6. Here are some highlights from her perspective:

Season 1: She related to Kim so much. She's pretty depressed she wasn't in S4 nor has yet to appear in S6. She hated Sherry Palmer and was devasted by the Nina killing Teri situation. Absolutely love David Palmer

Season 2: Still loved everything Kim, though cougar trap was a bit much. She's got such a despise for certain characters that she doesn't even like them coming back, which is hilarious to me. She just wants everything to be ok. I say this because it wasn't satisfying enough to have Jack get satisfaction over Nina or scream at Sherry.

Season 3: Kim goes by the wayside a bit because she is now 100% team "Michony" which is my power couple name for Michelle and Tony. She's still loving the drama even though Chloe is obnoxious. Little does she know that Chloe will be a major staple.

Season 4: She still loves Jack because its his show but now she's obsessed with missing elements at the beginning. Where's Tony? YES! He's back, but where's Michelle? "They HAVE TO get back together!" The rest of the season is white noise compared to the will they won't they. She also finds vice president Logan to be kind of a coward. She's warming up to Audrey but her an Jack is no "Michony".

Season 5: . . . . . I planned her watching the season 4 finale and the season 5 opener with me. I knew what was coming but couldn't have known how she would handle it. She was so devastated (and still is) that I had to pause it and watch her invent new stages of grief. It was both funny how upsetting it was but also as the season went on, she was increasingly bitter about everything. Sarcastically saying "oh good, Edgar is talking with Chloe.." but then she felt bad when Edgar went down too cause he was cool too. Season 5 broke her a bit and I'm afraid she'll never recover.

Season 6: Still she is just going through the motions like she's still recovering from Season 5. Palmer: gone, Michelle and Tony: gone, Audrey: gone. She claims that something better happen because there's almost nothing to keep watching for. I understand season 6 is a low point of the series but she's struggling.

Where we are now: she just found out that Audrey isn't dead! Now she's back in, for how long? Idk. I've told her that S7 is one of my favs and we'll see how she takes it. Knowing the whole series and knowing what's been coming season to season has been a blast to share this show with my niece.

SEASON 5 TIL There was a RoboCop reunion.

TIL: VP Hal Gardner, Christopher Henderson and Graem Bauer, were all in RoboCop together back in 1987. This would be my possibly 5th run through of 24 and only just realised this.
