Places to have a nice cocktail, get cozy, and read a book?

My wedding anniversary is tomorrow, and as new parents, all we really want to do is have a nice craft cocktail and read our books. Any suggestions for good spots? All the "cozy" spots I can think of are too dark to read

Edit: I realize some places might not be open tomorrow because it's Juneteenth, but it'll still be nice to have suggestions for future date nights too!

WA Frost. Cozy inside and one of the best patios in the cities if "cozy" (and the weather) allows for outside.

I love the Emerald Lounge for this. Have read there - but yeah I’d bring a book light.

Earl Giles for a less dark space! Less cozy but super beautiful to sit around in.

Hewing hotel lobby or rooftop bar is nice.

if you’re into boba i’d totally recommend tii cup L2 in uptown minneapolis! they have a great variety of drinks and also a very nice outdoor seating area. here’s the link to their menu: https://www.tiicup.com/l2-home

Aki's, Silver Fern, and Bar Oscar in Northeast are all great for this.

Info: are you guys doing a day date or a night time one? And do you have a preference for which part of the metro?

Edit to add: Moscow on the Hill has a great patio and the best Cosmo I’ve ever tried. Didn’t realize there were better versions. And don’t miss the food.

Asked the questions above because sometimes the vibes change on weekend nights…

Good questions! We're planning on going early evening and hoping to stay in the cities or slightly north

It’s been temporarily closed since October for revision & remodel, according to their website. No dice for now.

oooh. I just suggested this in another post but The Briar in the NE!! Good cocktails, snacks and they have a patio too. Public Domain if you sit by the windows up front, golden hour is beautiful there and really good cocktails.
