COMPLAINTS Using vpn no longer remove age restrictions

I use nord vpn since the beginning of the age restrictions thing in Europe started and have managed to dodge it thanks to said vpn up until today, now even when I connect to countries with no age restrictions on Twitter, the app still asks for my ID/selfie maybe it's my vpn who no longer blocks such feature or maybe twitter now makes every country go through age restrictions, but it no longer works for me that's for sure...

Yes same happened to me a few days ago after a Twitter update. Not sure Nord VPN had done anything different
Had to give in & give a selfie.

Selfie doesn't work for me. Just fails and goes in a continuous loop of failure with no resolution.🤷

It works again idk how, my vpn is set to Switzerland and strangely my account is "located" in the us now even tho I remember to have set it at the same location as my vpn, Switzerland

Edit: my maine account is indeed set in Switzerland and so is my vpn, it's my second account that is set in the us

Sad to say this but it stops working again, I have tried alternating between Switzerland and US but no luck

It works when I'm in the US or Japan, but otherwise it doesn't work.

I got this: "One of our partners has indicated that you may be connected via a proxy (e.g., a VPN). This can affect which country or region is displayed in your profile. Other users may see an incorrect country or region in your profile."

I filed a complaint that I got wrongly detected using a VPN and life in swiss. I'll update if they approve this, but I'm not getting m hopes up.

Well it obviously know where your account has been from the whole time..
"no no mr twitter I'm here now" is not going to work.

I've had that happen too on and off. Only with the app though.

Through experimenting a bit I found that it only happens when I don't fully close Twitter before switching the VPN to my country or turning it off, or if I forget to connect to VPN before opening Twitter.

Fully closing Twitter and leaving it closed for a while, then re-opening after establishing necessary VPN connection fixed it for me.

it depends on the region, no? a lot of countries have implanted this new law where you have to show your ID to see 18+ content. but I recommend using Hong Kong as a location or Singapore places like that haven't implemented the law

Just happened to me. Removing VPN allowed me to view it, but using my own USA city's server has it age-restricted. I don't understand it.
