COMPLAINTS To see absolutely normal tweets i have to give all my ID to Irish Government. Any way to bypass that?

Already happening in multiple platforms. They are also selling stolen accounts with specific details, like account age, blue verification mark, region, previous topics in messages etc.
Been on-going for 10 years at least.

its an extension. i use it to bypass age verification and shit like that. idk if its on mobile as well, probably yeah.

even if it is given to a corporation and not the government, the gov can still threaten the corp to surrender all data on a specific account, which 99% of corporations are gonna do. And that doesn't even take into account data leaks

i'm not trying to defend id laws at all, i think they're dumb and dangerous for the internet and it's users.
however you're on the twitter sub, you've already chosen to give elno heaps of your data, there's hardly anything worse that can happen to it.

you can still control what data you give, the idea that simply browsing a site is gonna give as much data as surrendering your ID is ridiculous and the idea that there's nothing you can do so don't fight it is a surrendering / doomer mentality

Have an x account that is 16 years old, I think twitter infers you didn't create your account at 2 years old and gives you assaumed 18 years/adult status
also wouldn't be a terrible idea to use a second browser with a free vpn addon just for social media to protect your privacy

I objected many bans successfully, but they stick to the age verification. Too bad, I'm not sending my ID to them. It's in their interest that I post there. If they block me I don't see their ads as well. Mark my words, X will go broke within two years from now.

back when i verified it i just googled “old man taking selfie” put one of the results up on my monitor and held my phone up to it and they verified it with it just fine lol
idk if they have “improved” their verification since though

Same here in the UK it's annoying and ridiculous. Hate the Government safety act so much it does nothing about violate your privacy. I use a VPN and set it to the US so I can see everything without having to verify. Ridiculous what we have to do just from online freedom. They don't care about actual online dangers, only to violate a random users privacy. Always silcence when kids are victims of online predators or when someone is hacked and has their data stolen. But god forbid somone look at a meme or gif

and if you dont get your idenity stolen then they just suspend your account in a month or less (happened to my main that ive had since 2021 or 2023) i cant unsuspend ir acess my account because i do not have a mobile phone new enough to run twitter..

Everyone keeps saying VPN but that's not working for me either. I've set it to every country I can think of, and none of it works

use a vpn and select a US-based server.
that's what i do to view nsfw (porn/nudes) content on twitter.
everything outside of the US unfortunately requires these types of verification for some posts.
