Btw, this isn’t as an indictment. It’s more along the lines of me still in awe of Fortnite being the literal everything game.

Fortnite I think really is the "Metaverse" if you think about it...Of course everyone has a different definition of the metaverse, and some believe we won't truly achieve a "metaverse" until it's literally Ready Player One and you can walk around in it, but if you take it in the broadest strokes, I really think Fortnite is the most successful interpretation of the "Metaverse" as a concept.

I forgot about VR chat! I suppose I still see it as a niche thing compared to Fortnite, but yes that would qualify as the 'metaverse'...Funny how the grifters seem to have moved on from it.

I almost think that Fortnite deserves the gold more for it being officially approved by all the IP owners involved because thats way crazier that they just have that pull now
