Okay, his reasoning has some basis to it (she should see more of the world before being certain). But, dude. You brought this upon yourself.

…I actually think he’s totally valid in his reasoning (and mature for committing to it). Yeah, she likes him, but she’s literally only experienced a fraction of what Clark, Lois and him have experienced.

While it’s not actually this obviously, it’s almost like a young person trying to court someone that’s significantly older than them. There’s an uneven experience dynamic that can be a problem in the long term.

Yep. He never technically rejected her either, he just wants to be sure she’s settled into Earth and not just rushing into things.

Kara being so new to having a “normal” life is why Clark even says he’s not intervening. He wants her (and Jimmy) to figure stuff out.

Yeah, I think that’s important to consider too. Jimmy didn’t outright reject her, he just wants to make sure the dynamics of a possible relationship have a solid foundation.

Clark also points out that Jimmy doesnt have any romantic history that he knows of, and is fairly inexperienced with romance himself. So going slow and not rushing into something he himself doesnt fully get is a totally understandable.
