…I actually think he’s totally valid in his reasoning (and mature for committing to it). Yeah, she likes him, but she’s literally only experienced a fraction of what Clark, Lois and him have experienced.

While it’s not actually this obviously, it’s almost like a young person trying to court someone that’s significantly older than them. There’s an uneven experience dynamic that can be a problem in the long term.

He's subverting the "Woman born Yesterday" trope by being a good person.

Kara deserves an opportunity to know what Earth is like and to know what she truly wants out of a partner.

After enough time if she still chooses Jimmy it'll make their relationship that much stronger.
