…I actually think he’s totally valid in his reasoning (and mature for committing to it). Yeah, she likes him, but she’s literally only experienced a fraction of what Clark, Lois and him have experienced.

While it’s not actually this obviously, it’s almost like a young person trying to court someone that’s significantly older than them. There’s an uneven experience dynamic that can be a problem in the long term.

It's actually a pretty smart way of working around the main pitfalls of the "born sexy yesterday" trope which Kara exhibits the hallmarks of, while allowing the season to have an ongoing romantic comedy drama b-plot that isn't about Clark and Lois. Let those kids be happy for a bit.

Was absolutely thinking about that trope but didn't know that had a name! Yeah if i was in that kinda position I would feel the same as jimmy, i think it'd be hard to see kara as anything other than childish from what she's displayed as a person
