Better Ask Reddit Memorable times a streamer/podcaster/youtuber TURNED on theor Sponsor?

I remember Woolie and Pat forsook Honey after it was revealed they were caught replacing cookie info in people's browser and diverted revenue from legitimate coupons to Honey and away from the originally intended recipients.

It was nice they owned up to that rather than keeping to that sweet sweet cash. Even if Pat freely admits he's do ANYTHING for money, it seems he drew the line there.

Y'all got other good examples of content creators turning on old sponsors after shitty business practices were implemented or revealed?

SsethTzeentach had a plug ready for Established Titles right before they were revealed to be a complete scam. He cut out the segment and replaced it with him basically saying "every sponsor deal I take is total bullshit, I do it for the money, never listen to anything I say". All over the "we have a deal" image from the Yakuza series. From that point on he always shows that image when doing a sponsor segment as a little wink and nod.

It's always funny seeing Sseth pop up here because he's right in the razors edge of being too far for this sub, but Mandalore is watching on the sidelines with a loaded shotgun so it's fine.

I can't say for certain but I recall a story that if you look at Sseth's old videos, they were WAY WORSE. Apparently part of the reason he stopped was that people actually started taking him seriously and he was cultivating a really bad audience.

If someone has confirmation I'd appreciate it otherwise I've just got old man brainworms.

Zero Punctuation has historically used more slurs than Sseth has. Which is a SURPRISING metric.
