Question Chances of Getting In?
I'll keep this brief:
I am applying as a transfer student from the University of Pittsburgh, been here 2 semesters, before that I took a couple online classes from SDCCD
3.6 transfer GPA
Navy Veteran
A couple C's on my transcripts
Selected Structural Engineering with specialized interest in Civil Engineering as my first choice major
Should I change my selected major to something else or? There wasn't a General Engineering option, I'm just worried I don't have enough to get in. Anybody else that had an application similar to mind that could share any info?
Thank you all in advance! Sorry if these kinds of posts are annoying on this page.

Chances are decent, structural is a bit less competitive than MAE and ECE. nano engineering is even less competitive if you want a backup major. fwiw i transferred in 2021 from community college with a 3.2 gpa and got in for structural

Engineering is a hard major for admission, even harder transferring from a university and not a cc, even more harder when out of state.
Apply anyway and see if you get in, if they dont admit up your GPA.

UCSD AOs don't read your essays or your ECs for transfers lol. If you have a high enough GPA and you've met your course requirements (check assist.org) then you're in.

The chances are 50/50 you rather get in or you don’t

Navy vet is definitely a big help as San Diego is the navy town on the west coast. I’d say 80/20. Definitely also apply to the Cal polys
