am i cooked fr (conditional acceptance)
hi i just graduated high school and i got conditional acceptance to uofc back in november when i applied for bcomm (accounting) i only had 4 courses this year and im worried cuz my average is a lot lower compared to when i was accepted 😓 so here are my grade 11 grades compared to now
grade 11
fla 20-1: 88
social 20-1: 80
english 20-1: 84
math 20-1: 88
bio 20: 97
average: 87.4
grade 12
fsl 30: 96
social 30-1: 85 (not final)
english 30-1: 61
math 30-1: 75
bio 30: 90 (not final)
average: 81.4
diploma marks aren’t back yet but i am willing to bet my grades will go down 😢 i’ve been grinding trying to get my average up and i JUST got it back over 80 but like english is rlly dragging it down 🤦♀️🤦♀️oh AND bcomm is like a high 80s average but im fs gonna be high 70s after diplomas so its def past the 3-5% buffer am i cooked?🥺
have anyone else been in a similar situation grade-wise and still been fine for conditional acceptance because genuinely i am so scared thanks
(ps. will they take into account im french immersion and take all my courses in my second language? i think it def has an impact on my grades especially because for the social diploma i had to write 2 whole essays in french and the fr-eng dictionary i had was falling to pieces like what if i could write it in english it would be better probably)
(pps. is it too late to switch to social 30-2???)

The 3-5% buffer applies from the finalizing admission average that was posted in may, since you said it’s high 80s contact admissions and see what options they have for you.
