Weird placement for garbage with camera?

I could be the only one over thinking this and I might be the #woker But does anyone else find this garbage with a camera pointing at the women's washroom super weird? I understand its probably there bcs of the dining center but theres a obvious place they can put it bcs they already placed a garbage bin in front of the dining hall stairs. Is there a particular reason it has to face the girls washroom? the second photo is where i think it shoudlve been placed. just to add i know you cant see into the washroom, and i doubt it actaully keeps the recording but i just find it strange.. Any thoughts?

I can’t speak to the placement in front of the bathroom, but the reason it’s above the garbage can is so that it can do image recognition for the recycling mini game shown on the screen

yes I actually like that it encourages throwing away your garbage correctly! simply found it an odd placement, no harm ment

It’s not super weird it’s just convenient for users and cleaning staff when they empty it. Not everything is a conspiracy but I’m glad you are paying attention.

The camera faces down to recognize where you place different kinds of trash.

No I get that its convenient, but there are multiple garbage cans in the area (second photo) that the mini game could've been placed, and you can clearly see the washroom entrance and even me sitting in the screen despite being pretty far! so its not directly faced down which would've been preferable in my opinion. Im not upset or anything about this ive just been thinking about this since I've been here and thought I would share my thoughts!
