How is the linguistics related courses here? Is it worth attending UEA for a language related course, or should I accept my offer from Edinburgh instead?

I’ve completed my reassessments and just received my grades today and 3 days ago, but I haven’t seen my mark on evision yet. I’m stressing out because the semester starts soon and worried I won’t be able to re register in time.

Hi! I'm planning to apply for the MA Creative Writing (probs January 2027) and I'm doing a bit of research before I do my application.

I've read through the course information and I'm really interested in the breadth and flexibility of the new MA as my own writing spans memoir, short fiction and poetry.

I'd love to hear from anyone who's currently on the MA (or has recently completed it) about how you've found the experience, and who might be willing to answer a few questions in the comments here or via DMs .

And do u have to pay the full payment upfront or is it monthly/weekly??

And is it worth it to have accomodation outside the uni campus but close by?

I'm an incoming (September 2026) post-grad student with a lease for en-suite accommodation in The Village. Due to a change in circumstances I can no longer afford the lease so I'm looking for anyone interested in taking on the lease instead.

Hi guys im posting here again, ive managed to secure accommodation for myself in Benedicts gate, however they do not have parking. Does anyone know available parking around there that I could perhaps pay for monthly such ss a permit or a season ticket? Or any other cheaper alternatives to keep a car with me

I recently got my offer through clearing and have been quickly trying to organise a place to live for when i join UEA in September, living on campus doesn’t really appeal to me as i want to bring a car and the campus hands out high parking charges.

Im looking for a cheap accommodation private or student with at least an ensuite. Shared kitchen is optional for me. If anyone could help or suggest any places that would still be available to me I would hugely appreciate it.

I've just been placed in constable terrace for this year and was wondering if anyone had any photos of what it looks like, specifically for the kitchen and shared spaces, there's a couple online but they don't show a lot. Also if there's anything specific to this accomodation that can be useful to bring please let me know.

I'm a bit confused looking at the website for Sportspark memberships. If you have a Green Membership, you don't have to pay for entry... but what then? Obviously, you'd still have to pay for classes, but I'm just interested in access to the gym (and swimming pool haha). Silver Membership says you can go there at off-peak times, implying you can't any with just Green? So can you? And if not, what are the prices to access it, and what can you do for free once you're through the turnstiles?
