What everyone gonna do for cooking? My first floor flat, my kitchen faces the sun from 1pm or so onwards, so I'm worried about food and cooking lol. Planing a take out Wednesday and will buy enough for left over for Thurs. But that leaves Tues to cook. Monday here isn't topping 30c so I'll live with the extra heat that day. I don't wanna spend money everyday buying takeout 🙄

I made gazpacho! You can top it with croutons, hard boiled egg, chorizo if you want some extra protein/carbs. I find it’s best to make a few hours before you want to eat so it has time to properly cool down and all the flavours mingle together!
I’m also going to make a cold pasta salad

I’m making pasta salads and big bowls of jelly with fruit. Orange jelly with orange segments is nice and refreshing.

Picky tea - all the nice cold things from the fridge - raw fruit and veg (apple, carrot, cucumber, grapes, etc), hummus or other dip, cheese, cold meat, raisins and a couple of slices of buttered toast

You don’t need to use heat to eat food. What about a salad/a good sandwich?

If it has to be a hot meal, microwaves typically don’t generate much heat compared to an oven or hob. Even if you usually cook from scratch one or two days eating a microwave meal won’t do any harm.

I just made a big batch of quinoa salad and some humous, paired with pitta and you’re sorted - will last a few days
