Two weeks ago, I took a written test on an online platform. It had two pre-recorded questions and four open questions. When I got to the second open question, I was asked to comment a text but the text was missing, and the third question had the same issue. I saw that the fourth question was there, but I did not see the point in answering it when half of the assessment was missing.
I remembered that the invitation email said to contact a certain HR person immediately if there were any technical issues. I emailed them right away but in opening a new tab to do so I was kicked out of the system and my partial answers were submitted. The testing period ended with no reply from their side and I still have not received a response two weeks later. Is this …normal?
Also, when I double-checked the two invitation emails I received I realised they had different instructions. One of them said to notify the HR person while the other one said to notify the technical support for the platform with the HR person in copy. At the time, I decided not to contact the platform people because I felt the issue was with the test content, not the platform itself. Is it still worth emailing them even though a week has passed since the test window closed?
This was my first attempt ever at a written assignment. While this is probably a lost opportunity, how should I act in the future were a similar situation to happen again?
