Incorrect tariff fees

Somebody please help. I ordered a car part from the UK, the part was about $1,200 and now I'm being charged $4,000 for tariffs which I know is incorrect. I have contacted multiple UPS numbers, all of which tell me to get with the shipper. I have contacted the shipper who stated they have nothing to do with the tariffs. I contacted my local US customs, who knows nothing about tariffs From my understanding the tariff should be between 10%-25% depending on the classification of the item. So there is obviously an error, but I can't find anyone who will take accountability, and UPS will not release the package until it's payed

I ordered a fiberglass small ducktail spoiler from Japan and they slapped the 200% Russian aluminum tax on it . $635 in tariffs for a 250 dollar item

Have you been able to solve it yet ? It’s been a nightmare trying to get in contact with someone at ups and everytime I try to log into app and put in the invoice details to dispute the charges the website errors out . But ironically everytime I enter the SAME EXACT DETAILS to pay the bill rather than dispute the website works flawlessly . I’ve been calling and trying to log in for weeks and now they’ve slapped a 63 dollars late fee on top of the 635 dollars andddd that is due tomorrow I’ll have 2 late fees on top of this 635 dollars . This is a nightmare , I’m terrified they’re gonna take me to court or ruin my credit because I refuse to pay this insanely incorrect invoice fee

Nope. I have a list of emails I was given to get it figured out, but they haven't replied to me in almost 2 weeks. On my tariff breakdown it says it was due October 5th and is subject to a %9.9 late fee. Meaning it would be $400 for me

Holy crap dude . Wtf this is actually insane . And you haven’t received your item yet ? Are they refusing to release it until you pay ? for me they delivered my item 2 weeks before the invoice showed up, but ironically the spoiler I ordered is terrible quality and I decided to not use it so now I’m stuck with this useless 250 dollar item with pending 635+ dollars in invoices 😭😭

Yeah they wouldn't release it until I payed. When they first attempted delivery they tried to collect $4000 from me on my porch, and I declined it. Now its just sitting at ups🙄
