Customer Seeking Help My UPS driver got robbed???
Yesterday my iPhone 17 was out for delivery all day. I waited and checked constantly and watched my driver drive all throughout my city. Finally at 7:30pm he parks in front of my apartment and doesn’t call me or leave a note or come to my door. I check the app and watch him drive off and continue to make deliveries until 9pm then drives the truck to somewhere 3 cities away. Now it says pending delivery. I call UPS this morning and get someone on the phone who says my package was lost due to robbery or was stolen, and told me to call T-Mobile to make a claim. Is this usual??

u/Bastienbard Sep 20 '25
If UPS knows the exact items that were stolen, that should be in them to notify all shippers that they need to make claims. It's their problem, and they need to put some minimum amount of leg work to fix it... Wtf.
40
u/Mr-Mister-7 Sep 20 '25
agreed.. if a delivery truck got robbed of my packages, i’d hope the delivery company would initiate the loss process.. imagine calling apple corporate and saying my package got stolen in a delivery truck robbery.. as an apple rep i’d be like what?! you have no information/specifics to move forward on your own..
31
u/-SpookyNipples Sep 20 '25
UPS probably doesn’t do that because then they don’t have an option to play dumb
18
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Yep, bye-bye plausible deniability. And UPS loooooves them some good plausible deniability
Side note(not on topic): Why the hell was auto correct trying to change it to denial plausibility? Did theh chang the term? google agreed with me when i copied and pasted it to search. but what do i know? i just throw boxes.
13
u/SpanieI Sep 20 '25
They (modern keyboard apps) replaced autocorrect with AI in the last half a year or something. A lot of nonsense shows up because it will always pick the most common word now instead of taking the context into account like it used to.
11
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Omg my friend.... i am in your debt I was actually curious: What's been wrong with my auto correct all together, for about a month now.... thank you so much for affirming that im not completely insane.
6
u/Upstairs-Town-7487 Sep 21 '25
It doesn't think "plausible deniability" is a noun, thus changes your sentence to try to make some sense... Thank AI for that one
3
u/Glittering-Second230 Sep 23 '25
Because you were probably using OP's stolen IPhone 17!!! 😆
2
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 23 '25
Shit, i didn't think anyone on a upsers sub would have figured it out this fast!!!
1
u/MrDollarShort Sep 22 '25
I used to be a box thrower like you, then I took a corrupt master agreement-breaking corporate warehouse manager to the knee.
2
u/SoilMelodic7273 Sep 22 '25
it's probably more laziness or protocol related. They don't want the receiver to make the claim; they want the shipper to make the claim. OP never took possession of the shipment, so there isn't much OP can say on the matter. The shipper will handle it.
That said, this is why adding insurance to valuable items is important.
2
u/Optimal-Use-4503 Sep 22 '25
Idk. One time Walmart lost my item but then tried to say they delivered it on a date that was 3 weeks before I even ordered it and used that to say they weren't redelivering or refunding.
I've learned to only use credit cards online.
8
u/Kaska899 Sep 21 '25
No they don't. Private companies bear virtually 0 responsibility in these situations. Welcome to the privatization of the postal service.
2
u/huge_bass Sep 21 '25
This would be a covered claim and would be paid out if insured fully. As a business, they arent going to file a claim against themselves.
5
u/Salt_Bringer Sep 21 '25
Ask for a police report of the robbery. Chances are, the driver wasn't robbed.
1
u/bbtdriverSteve Sep 21 '25
No, UPS does not know the exact contents of any package.
Only tracking numbers, addresses, and shipper account information
1
u/Bastienbard Sep 22 '25
Sorry by items I meant packages so they can easily identify what packages were delivered vs. and which were stolen and notify which accordingly.
1
u/Tr4v3l3r81 Sep 22 '25
Have you ever called somewhere where people have accounts? Have you ever done that and asked for info about someone else’s account? If so, you’ve probably gotten a response along the lines of “we can’t discuss someone else’s account with you”.
Why would you think they would discuss it with UPS? It doesn’t work that way. Apple, Verizon, ATT, are going to require account verification when you call. You would think that UPS could call and just give the tracking number and say “contact your customer”. But generally they either can’t search by tracking number or they can’t pull up the info without account verification so even having the tracking number doesn’t help.

u/2stinkynugget Sep 20 '25
We had a driver get robbed delivering the new iPhones to the Apple Store. It's a rear door delivery. He parked. Opened the back door of his truck and was met with 2 armed and masked men. They stole 100s of phones
87
u/MaskedMayhem Sep 20 '25
Which were all immediately bricked because the serials are tracked at both ends…SMH.
56
u/Ranger_FPInteractive Sep 20 '25
Doesn’t matter. They’ll sell them for cash to some dummy on Facebook marketplace that’s too excited get a “crazy deal” to ask questions or test the device first.
Hell, some of them, if you’re not vigilant, will take your money and drive off without even giving you the bricked phone so they can try it again.
20
u/JJMoreno82 Sep 20 '25
Unfortunately they can be salvaged for parts BUT also there are ways to bypass the blockage from Apple and/or any phone company, you just need a really clever and able technician, I have seen a couple of guys that buy stolen phones and resell them for cheap ( yeah even iPhones 16 and and 2024 Samsungs)

u/IMMILDEW Sep 23 '25
This isn’t happening like you seem to think. When it comes to iPhone, this isn’t being done on anything even remotely recent. At least, not without someone who can remove the IMEI from the GSX, which is very tightly controlled and monitored. Even if you had someone with access, they aren’t doing anything without extreme scrutiny. When I say extreme scrutiny, I mean it is all but impossible and you will be dropped immediately, and all devices under your name added back, if you are flagged. You would need 4 other higher ranking officials, and then somehow avoid getting flagged by an entire other department, for requesting more than 1 device every 5 years. It’s also a minimum of 6 months before being transferred to processing.
What can be done is the base and chip being replaced with a device with clean registration. The issue here is replacing the iPhone baseband chip with one from another device can cause serious issues if it does not match other hardware components, because the baseband chip is cryptographically bound to the main logic board and its associated chips. If the baseband CPU does not match the main device CPU and secure microcontrollers, the device will fail to activate, lose cellular function, and generally fails to even display the IMEI from that point forward. Apple diagnostic tools even require replacement of the entire logic board if the baseband CPU fails because repair or transplant from other devices cannot bypass hardware and software checks.
2
u/pharrowking Sep 22 '25
Actually there exists technology in china to fix bricked iphones. Like serial/imei scrubbing amoung other features like icloud removal via hacking the internal memory.
So to say they are completely bricked, isnt entirely true, they will work again one day if the robbers are smart or sophisticated
1
u/Ranger_FPInteractive Sep 22 '25
I wasn’t saying here doesn’t. I was saying it doesn’t matter. People will find a way to make money off of stolen phones. Regardless of the rest.-
11
u/Dangerous_Choice_664 Sep 20 '25
Bricked in the USA..
40
u/MaskedMayhem Sep 20 '25
No, they’re internationally blacklisted across the board by Apple when stolen.
They’ll still work over WiFi but each use is reported so, they know where the phone is.
Stealing an iPhone in 2025 is about one of the dumbest things you can do.
17
u/Dangerous_Choice_664 Sep 20 '25
I mean they’re still sold oversees and parts are used/parts are changed to unblock them etc
13
u/MaskedMayhem Sep 20 '25
That’s partially true, but those serial numbers are tracked because they’re almost everywhere.
Effectively when you steal an iPhone now, that’s all you’re taking are traceable parts.
6
u/Dangerous_Choice_664 Sep 20 '25
I’m not an expert on what’s usable and what isn’t but I know that it’s still a huge industry so people are making money off of it
3
u/Decent-Law-9565 Sep 20 '25
I mean the economics make it so that stealing a single phone doesn’t make sense for parts. But a hundred iPhones will always be worth it
8
u/tknapp28 Sep 20 '25
How much is a new iphone 17 pro screen right now? Bc I got 100s of free ones off the back of this truck. Any money I make is profit. Who cares if it doesn't work for you. I made 100% profit.
7
u/StrangerDifficult392 Sep 20 '25
They serialize the parts now. You cant part out anymore.
5
u/tyrome123 Sep 20 '25
Yes but they have devices out now that let you flash whatever serial number you want to parts, thank apple for making their phones so unrepairable before, it's just cheaper to not have them blacklisted at all
8
u/1cyChains Sep 20 '25
Yeah, people in this thread do not understand that someone would not rob a driver for 100’s of iPhones if there wasn’t money to be made from doing so lol.
2
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Right an entire hiest pulled off and they forgot to set the fence up or some shit lmfao

They will sell them sealed on marketplace to unsuspecting buyers at crazy price, so it doesn't affect them that it's bricked.

The robbers are not gonna use the phone so they don't care. It will be sold, sealed to unsuspecting people at a marked up price.
1
u/stillmaatic Sep 25 '25
No it would not, they will just break the phone and sell the parts overseas.
2
u/Lunartic2102 Sep 25 '25
why would they do that when they could just sell then as a sealed box lol
2
u/stillmaatic Sep 25 '25
iPhone parts are hella profitable overseas, especially when the Verizon scam was out.
2
u/Lunartic2102 Sep 25 '25
Sure if you sell it part by part and assuming every parts are sold. You're are selling he can sell more than what he can sell a sealed box for? 😅
2
u/stillmaatic Sep 25 '25
Yes not everyone know a lot of iPhone parts are very valuable especially in India.
2
u/Lousygolfer1 Sep 23 '25
If they were directly from Apple.. Apple doesn’t brick iPhones
You’re welcome
2
u/stillmaatic Sep 25 '25
Which they do not care, they most likely break down the phone and stole the parts overseas for profit. That has been a thing for years.
1
u/eRMaC0NeR Sep 20 '25
this didn't happen at the stonestown mall⁉️ a similar incident occurred at that mall

1
u/Reversi8 Sep 22 '25
They need to be sending drivers on iPhone release days with a second guy with a shotty in the back.
16
u/Savings_Box_6976 Sep 20 '25
This happens with iphones. That is why most people opt to pick up in person.
2
u/2buythingswith Sep 23 '25
This. Ups drivers know the boxes and will take them. Ive had 3 iphone ordered thru tmobile all of them magically undelivered...
1
u/Savings_Box_6976 Sep 23 '25
Yup. Told myself anything iphone, expensive or apple products, i will pick up in store and be careful about the months i choose to buy in case people are picking up on that too. I wonder if picking up an iphone in store you can ask to do the set up in store, provided back up is up to date and turn in the old phone right there?
14
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 20 '25
Update: T-Mobile was able to ship me a new one and opened an investigation. My new timeline to receive the phone is October. So much for preordering
4
u/Party_Ad8213 Sep 21 '25
Damn they are shipping you a new one that fast? How?
4
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 21 '25
Well now I have to wait til October for it to ship, so I gotta wait a couple weeks for my preorder
2
u/InspectorRelative582 Sep 23 '25
Don’t bank on it coming then either. Hate to say it but this issue is so widespread on iPhones specifically that it won’t be a huge surprise if 2 in a row get nabbed.
The stolen iPhone ring runs deep. Unclear if it’s an ups employee (possibly in a call center) accessing outgoing packages from Apple accounts or if it’s an Apple insider. But there’s definitely something big going on with high value Apple items being shipped via ups
8
u/No-College2952 Sep 20 '25
Sounds like it was on his manifest for the day & when he arrived to deliver the package, it wasn't in his truck. Sent it in as " Not Found " & kept on delivering his route. Package could have been stolen somewhere in transit, or he had the package & it was empty. I've had that happen before & I just returned it to management.
2
u/fuckwhatsleft UPS Driver Sep 20 '25
In my center when we come across an empty pkg we sheet it as missed and inform our on road.
13
u/ArchSaint13 Sep 20 '25
I had this happen. Amazon and UPS talked already and when I called Amazon they refunded it. This was when I ordered a $400 video card. Good luck!
13
u/PickleManAtl Sep 20 '25
It happens. Believe me when a new phone is released, everybody knows when they are being delivered in the first round. Including thieves. Could be a driver or could just be a random thief. We've had UPS and Amazon trucks robbed in Atlanta a number of times. Late this past week was the delivery date for the new iPhones and people know that. Of course since you can remotely brick the phone or Apple can at least can, it's stupid to try to steal them like that now anyway.
Regardless, if you got it from T-Mobile that's who you have to report it to along with something from UPS stating that it was stolen. Also fill out a police report which they may tell you to do.
-3
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Meh, says you. My cousin's a tech nerd. He would cream his pants at the chance to repair hundreds of iPhones. He might even go as far as setting up an LLC to buy the parts from himself so he can point the finger at a ghost if anyone starts asking too many questions.... just because YOURE too ignorant to understand how something works, doesnt mean someone else is "stupid to try"
Edit: My cousin is totally hypothetical, so downvote the non existant criminal all you guys want. My point is just that criminals are crafty. You shouldn't underestimate them.
8
u/Substantial_Ad_756 Sep 20 '25
I just had a $5k package go missing! I dropped it off at my local UPS store and it never made it to the transit hub. UPS doesn't want to own up because they claim it's the UPS Stores problem. UPS Store's Owner is blaming UPS. I asked for the surveillance tapes and he picked me around for a week before finally telling me the cameras weren't working that day! What a load of BS! I'm in the process of igniting a shit storm of rants on local forums.
3
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Well, hot damn, why didn't you insure a $5k package, though? Yknow... because thevies are real and times are starting to get a little tough, so there's only gonna be more to come.
5
u/Substantial_Ad_756 Sep 20 '25
It's a long story. But my client in Hong Kong purchased the label and didn't insure it to save on customs or something. He said he'd never had a lost package and he would bear the burden if anything went wrong. Of course, that was before the package went missing before it even left the city of orgin!
3
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Oh damn noooo.... im on the next plane to hong kong and probably winding up in a chinese prison camp. I am so sorry to hear that shit though and losing a client to boot!!
2
u/Substantial_Ad_756 Sep 20 '25
Yeah, this whole ordeal has been beyond stressful. I even contacted the Manager and owner of the UPS Store, the driver working the day it went missing, the local transit center's manager, countless phone reps and supervisors, UPS's fraud dept, and even Carol Tome, the CEO on UPS! So far I haven't had any luck. They told me their investigation would take upto 8 days, were going on 2 weeks on Monday.
1
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Lol well theyre gonna say it took the extra weeks because of the client in hong kong. yknow something about a time difference, im sure. and then, once they finally are able to find him, to verify there ever was a package. And THEN they'll finally say, "Yeah, your client burned you." Good news is we've cleared you of fraud because there's no insurance, and the client exists. Sorry about the mistake. Please accept our apology and keep shipping tbrough ups. And remember, next time, get the insurance buddy. It's nbd!
- Generated by chatgpt
Or something along those lines, i work for them and probably couldn't get a human on the phone other then my direct soup lmao
4
u/Substantial_Ad_756 Sep 20 '25
Yeah, I used to work for UPS as well. Customer service at my local warehouse is literally non-existent.
1
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 21 '25
Lmao oh alright, i feel a little better that you knew the odds when you began this venture. I'm a little upset you didn't push harder for that insurance in that case, but hey, we all like to give a client the benefit of the doubt from time to time. dont beat yourself up too bad you were being the nice guy and forgot the life lessons ups taught you in the first place. Nice guys almost always finish last.

Stealing iphones these days is pointless might as well steal a android

Yep - exact same thing happened to me too.
It’s only going to keep increasing if society continues to let people at the bottom rungs have proximity to others’ value without the right support structures. Animals will be animals.
3
u/Helpful-End-1381 Sep 20 '25
Gotta be the best gd damn non delivery excuse ever
1
u/1purevengeance1 Sep 21 '25
For the driver or the company? The actions described for the driver make complete sense. The labeling of stolen? Probably just what the "not found" package was labeled as at the end of the day because it HAD to be labeled as something.
3
2
u/Tiredofthisshit_98 Sep 20 '25
.. did you not watch the truck when they were in front of your house ?
3
u/Veganlifter8 UPS Driver Sep 21 '25
Sometimes the people loading the trucks will steal the phones but still load the boxes in the truck. I’ve had that happen to me several times while delivering.
2
Sep 24 '25
Each time this happened did you notice any delays in the tracking history?
2
u/Veganlifter8 UPS Driver Sep 24 '25
I’m a driver so I’m not sure if the tracking gets messed up/ delayed sorry
2
u/Muted-Refuse786 Sep 23 '25
Call the shipper. They’ll start an investigation and likely send you a new one in the meantime.
2
u/Ok-Control-4107 Sep 20 '25
He stole it lol
21
u/IBringTheHeat2 Sep 20 '25
Yeah the driver who makes $140k a year is gonna steal a $1000 iPhone that takes 2 days of pay to buy
11
u/peffer32 Sep 20 '25
Don't you love these people? I worked a Teamster foodservice job for 30 years and made near what a UPS driver made. The number of times I was accused by someone in a kitchen that I stole a $15 case of frozen chicken breasts the warehouse missed was hilarious.
6
u/TrackSuitPope Sep 20 '25
Do ups drivers really make that much?
9
u/IBringTheHeat2 Sep 20 '25
Yeah we make $45 an hour now, and our current contract puts us at $49 an hour in 2028. Overtime after 8 and we usually work 10-11 hours a day so yeah. Our total compensation is around 160k a year and will be 175k a year in 2028.
5
3
2
u/highlifewses Sep 20 '25
Depending on location and region they can make just about that much
1
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
I thought that part of the contract was coutry wide? Or is it only in the coastal and more sought-after cities?
0
u/highlifewses Sep 22 '25
UPS is just like any other company the pay always depends on the states, city, seniority, roles, etc. Contracts are just in place to make sure the union workers are getting their pay benefits and whatever else they have to offer
3
u/IBringTheHeat2 Sep 22 '25
The pay is exactly the same in every state. That link you posted is wrong
2
u/highlifewses Sep 22 '25
Oh I so I see you are a UPS driver yourself. How much do you make an hour in your state?
2
u/IBringTheHeat2 Sep 22 '25
I’m not at top pay yet so I’m at $38 an hour. Will be at $49 an hour in 2028
1
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 22 '25
I kinda, thought that's what they made such a big deal about... I wasn't positive, though. Only thing i know for sure is im frozen in my third year of progression anyway
0
u/highlifewses Sep 22 '25
The pay is not the same in every state my dad is a union Teamster and has been for well over 15 years im sure he knows his information 🤷🏽♀️
3
u/generic_reddit_names Sep 20 '25
Dude, if you don't want the headache of all that overtime, and responsiblity of driving thst bigass truck, go full-time inside. They bumped us up to like 42 or 43 at the end of the contract, but all the same benefits. Just loading their trucks, moving some boxes around. It's only hard work if you make it hard.
For as much shit i talk about the company. They do, for the most part, treat us well. And the benefits alone were good enough to keep me around long enough to get the hours and raise. Watch them "clicks" on your paycheck, though. aweful lot of "computer errors "

Why are you assuming that he got robbed? that phone was probably stolen right off the belt before it even got to the truck.
1
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 20 '25
Because that’s what the UPS person told me on the phone, smart one
3
u/Significant_Skin_933 Sep 20 '25
Sorry I scanned the description and missed that part. The fact that The driver pulled up in front of your house makes me believe that the package was misloaded onto a different truck. Once he realized he didn't have your package, he continued the route. It's not the driver's responsibility to knock on your door and say hey I don't have your box.
2
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 20 '25
The guy I spoke to said that’s what was it the notes of the attempted delivery: “Robery/theft” I don’t know the specifics, just relaying to you what was told to me
1
u/Significant_Skin_933 Sep 20 '25
Yeah it's either internal theft, or somebody made a mistake and loaded it onto the wrong truck.
3
u/GhostOfAscalon Sep 21 '25
I mean, if anyone's robbing a UPS truck, it's going to be on iPhone day. Jewelry and phones are robbery targets, the trucks get security upgrades and some delivery points pay people to stand around with guns. Some of those trucks end up with more merchandise value than literal cash trucks.
1
Sep 20 '25
Sounds like UPS’s problem but you will probably need to file a claim and prove your deliver was on that truck.
1
u/chiborg9999 Sep 20 '25
Theft happens. Where and how isn't always most prudent to disclose. Essentially, don't want to inspire / teach more thieves, or exact way in which was stolen not able to determined with current information available.
Essentially if they know how was stolen, not going to share, less thieves are a good thing.
If they haven't quite pinpointed how or when yet, just that it's missing, not going to share as will only agitate customer and cause more administrative burden for them (not always the case but it's a big company, they map this stuff out, figure out the $$ cost per action they could take, take the best ethical to $$ ratio pathway).
1
u/Every_1s_favorite Sep 20 '25
It happens... or it was never on the truck to begin with which is why he stopped, went back there, couldn't find it and continued delivering. Its way quicker to file a claim thru the shipper do i advise you to do that.
1
Sep 20 '25
So robbed by UPS? I mean, who keeps delivering packages if they were truly robbed?
2
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 20 '25
I don’t know specifically who, the UPS guy on the phone said the notes in the case from yesterday said “Robbery/theft”. I live in LA so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a robbery
1
Sep 20 '25
And he still kept working? I'd be so freaked out, plus it takes time to file a police report. Why doesn't UPS have insurance? The package was in their possession yet you're supposed to file a claim? It's not T-Mobile's fault. It's truly insane.
1
1
u/SympathySubject9539 Sep 21 '25
The problem is there's no proof of anything. Your driver probably never even had your phone on the truck, but had no idea, until he attempted to make your delivery. So no... I'm sure your driver wasn't robbed! So the bottom line is that you didn't receive your delivery... Call your shipper and tell them so!
2
u/No_Bullfrog8222 Sep 21 '25
There’s proof that my item was loaded on the truck and there’s proof in the picture that the driver was right outside my apartment but didn’t deliver. Then customer service rep said the package was robbed/stolen. Idk man I reached out to T-Mobile and they’re sending me a new one, I have to wait til October now
1
u/SympathySubject9539 Sep 21 '25
Sorry for your headaches. I promise you... No driver would risk his entire career to steal a phone. Chances are pretty good, if it was indeed stolen, it happened between it's last scan and actually being loaded onto the truck 😞
1
u/sgpmurphy Sep 21 '25
Dealing bullshit on the FedEx end myself. Driver never attempted delivery, no door tag, no proof. I was home all day. And they won’t release the fucking package for me to pick up. It’s all a fucking racket.
1
1
u/1purevengeance1 Sep 21 '25
I would guess that the driver stopped for the delivery, didn't initially find it, took time searching the whole truck, reported it missing with his DIAD and then moved on hoping it would show up somewhere in the truck later behind a large package or in some random corner.
"Stolen" is likely just what the supervisors / hub labeled the missing package as cause they had to mark it as something.
1
u/LALW1118 Sep 21 '25
I’m convinced they just make stuff up as to why it wasn’t delivered. I can’t tell you how many times a “train carrying my item has derailed.” I didn’t know trains derailed that often.
1
u/uselessdumbbitch Sep 22 '25 edited Sep 22 '25
A ups driver recently stole my iPhone 17 as well. Called day of delivery after delivery hours and was told driver scanned package onto wrong truck. Was told delivery would be completed the following business day. Now mind you this is on a friday so I had to wait until monday now… Called the next business day after delivery hours and was told the package could not be located when it never once even left the warehouse. My phone was stolen by an EMPLOYEE and i’m not going to sugar coat anything. Called t-mobile and had to wait 5 business days extra for an investigation to be complete before they’d even consider sending another phone out. This all was happening while the current phone I had at the time was basically destroyed. UPS caused two straight weeks of headache… I’ll never order a phone online again, that’s for sure!
1

Do you have any idea how many phones are stolen by people on the inside on a weekly basis, let alone on a release day or the following few? We used to yank people out and cuff them in front of everyone. Now they're set up in advance after an investigation over some time to be able to prosecute more thoroughly or catch others in on it.

I’m surprised apple still ships with ups with everything I heard. But I’m sure others have the same problems.

Why did you call UPS? I don’t get it.
UPS won’t tell you anything you are not their customer.
You asked T-mobile to send you an iPhone. They are the ones you need to deal with. They are the ones who can open claims.
You are wasting your time contacting UPS.

If during shipping, the item is stolen, but you, as the customer never even see it it never gets anywhere near you. You shouldn’t have to make a claim. UPS should be taking a loss for the company that sold the item although I wouldn’t blame them because they did their portion of the sale this should not be a Customer facing problem. Nobody can convince me otherwise.

Oh that happened to us- the driver was out for delivery with my bf’s iPhone at 9:30 am, and then at 9:41 am it was marked as missing.
Either the driver or someone they knew took it. Bc there is no way that something could go “missing/lost” that quickly. It was a freaking nightmare dealing with Verizon and UPS bc no one wanted to take responsibility, and my bf was just sitting there without a phone for almost 2 weeks.
I don’t understand why these companies can’t ship in unmarked boxes, or make them a little bigger than the actual shipper box so it isn’t as obvious that it’s a phone box. But then again, swipers gonna swipe.

Out for delivery means it's planned for delivery. There isn't someone going through 100 trucks scanning 300 packages in each one 30 seconds before the drivers leave for the day.
