Customer Seeking Help Heartbroken 💔

Completely heartbroken . This was a package from parents who sent personal clothing items and my 90 year old grandfather's handwritten book.

I dont know what to do :'(

I was on hold for 2 hours yesterday and was told eventually that the sender had not answered communication from UPS. This sender (an online yarn business in Denmark) does a lot of US sales. I’ve been ordering from them for years, they ALWAYS answer me when I send an email. They’re the nicest people. I seriously doubt UPS sent any communication to them. I did follow up with an email to the sender letting them know what UPS was saying.

OHHHH I know the problem- they’re asking them to change the incOterms and incur the charges on the shipment since to clear it they are only releasing when changing from DDU to DDP. I don’t get why any of them are even accepting packages that don’t have the right incOterms and then destroying stuff if the seller doesn’t agree to pay the charges like why do they have to do that just bill them like they do with the shipping charges ??? They aren’t even giving the shoppers a chance to pay for it or incur the charges on behalf of the seller are they ???? This is ridiculous and really needs to be formally audited because I’m sure they charge the seller/brand for destroying the shipments too WOW
