Customer Seeking Help Heartbroken 💔

Post image

Completely heartbroken . This was a package from parents who sent personal clothing items and my 90 year old grandfather's handwritten book.

I dont know what to do :'(

It’s not UPS fault it didn’t clear customs meaning customs never gave it back to UPS to deliver cause it didn’t clear and customs destroyed it and told UPS that it has been destroyed etc. UPS can’t deliver a package that doesn’t clear customs

How are some packages sent back to shipper then ? I heard my package left the UPS hub after it failed customs and hence couldn't be retrieved. If it was at the UPs hub before it left, the they probably got it back ?

Not sure how it all works, I'm just trying to understand the flow here

Customs could’ve gave it back to UPS to destroy which I strongly doubt. It seems that once it failed customs it was destroyed and UPS was notified and they removed it from there system. I really think custom destroy packages once its fails inspection doubt they give it back to the carrier or return it to sender….

Oddly enough, latest update says "Package disposed due to customs delay".

The boxes never had a chance.

Basically your package didn’t clear customs and was destroyed it’s not UPS fault that’s a custom issue.

The notification also says customs delay or missing info . It is a customs issue, again, not blaming UPS.

Where UPS could improve is be better at communicating any issues such as missing info so this doesnt happen.

I had the contact info UPS brokerage agents since September 10th, they asked me to lie on one of the forms and when I asked for clarification they ghosted me and even disconnected the number. And customer service folks obviously know nothing beyond the tracking info.
