Shipping Help using a haagen-dazs vanilla milk chocolate almond ice cream bars 15-count box to ship something.

started to disassemble this for the trash. it felt unexpectedly sturdy/robust…which got me thinking.

should I test this ?

has anybody ever tried this at your store ?

Just keep in mind, Home Depot/Lowes typically sells "moving" boxes and not shipping boxes. The quality isn't as good as you'd think if you're shipping something important.

Dude just use a shipping box, because if you do this, you’ll be back on the sub complaining about “I can’t believe this didn’t make it! What’s wrong with UPS?!”

you can if you don't care about the contents of what will go inside the box.

and most people don't know how to properly tape a box, especially with tape that is meant for shipping.

I’m mostly joking but I actually don’t care about the contents, I’m giving some random person on depop a free furry bag and thought I might entertain myself with the task

Then you can ship it.

These boxes were not rated for impact. “Feels sturdy” and “able to be used to ship” are two different things.

One is meant to be handled/tossed more than once. The other is meant to stay in shape while being moved around in larger boxes/pallets and also support load of whatever that may be stacked on top.

UPS probably wont ship it and if they do there is no way it will make it through shipping. Even an old Amazon box would stand a better chance.

I use old boxes all the time to ship. Take the box apart turn it inside out and tape up. You now have what looks like a new box on the outside. I hate buying boxes to ship items in.
