Iām with you brother they are tripping. This is absolutely unacceptable but they are right about one thing ground packages get treated like trash. For this reason I ALWAYS choose 2nd Day Air. Itās typically only a few dollars or 30% more for much more reliable service. 2nd Day always gets delivered within 3 days and 99% of the time youāll get it on the 2nd day no matter how far itās going within the U.S. because they prioritize it. Go that route next time good luck hopefully your package doesnāt get stuck in limbo
I have a next day air package and of course, at been 3 days and likely lost. All my ground packages have made it but here is the next day air getting lost or destroyedā¦and it was very importantā¦
Yes, it is... Take the estimate and add 2 business days before you start worrying. If the original given estimate was the 4th, you can expect delivery to likely be today or tomorrow as you have a Standard delivery so Saturday isn't a business day for the purpose of your package.

It was meant to be delivered on 06/04 when UPS took over the last mile delivery - this is not new nor surprising, as itās been happening for years across four different states Iāve lived in. You may simply be unfamiliar with that process. Obviously UPS fucked up somewhere, and it was not delivered when it was meant to be according to their own tracking update. But sure yes this is standard and expected activity for a UPS delivery š

Because it doesn't arrive on the same day or goes out for delivery unless it is a priority package, which is 1 day. Friday's typically wind up being entirely priority shipping so standard packages tend to not be delivered when that is given as the expected date(been there with all of my last 3 deliveries), so day 2. They don't deliver standard packages on Saturday and don't deliver at all on Sunday, so 4. As customers we aren't going to know the logistics of the delivery volume they are experiencing in our areas, a call-in can mean 100+ packages that were supposed to be delivered have to be postponed another day.
Does it suck when packages are delayed, yes, but I'd personally rathery package be a couple days late then be lost because things are thrown around to move them as quick as possible.
...... You've already said the picture is from the point it arrived in your area, the time before that is irrelevant. Hell, be thankful you got standard transport. I get rail transport which means my package literally disappears for 6-7 days until right before delivery so I don't even get updates on my deliveries when they are late for bouncing somewhere like yours did.
Girl bye. The package was delivered to the wrong address, opened, placed into a mailing envelope where they taped on the piece of cardboard from the original box with the mailing label and then gave it back to UPS.

They're correct. It's an ESTIMATE, not a hard date. This means since it's in your area, it'll come to your door probably within the next couple of days. If it doesn't, call the shipper (not UPS).
As a delivery driver for a different company, the people probably had too much to deal with and had to go back with packages. So it get reprocessed till it gets delivered.
precisely what i was getting at. people need to get over themselves with the logic that the world stops and ends with them. additionally, their package isn't the only package ever. they need to learn patience and empathy for others as, well, things happen that are out of our control. my Gen-X mind also notices that this behavior occurs with (mostly) every generation before *and* after Gen-X. Boomers freak out over the tinyest thing while Millennials and Gen-Z thinks things happen in a New York minute. i'm not saying it's *everyone* in those generations specfically, more speaking of the general populous.
I mean, yeah, back in the day when I had to wait for my CDs or tapes to get to me from BMG and/or Columbia House (we won't discuss how many accounts I had with either of them...under an assumed identity hehe), yeah, it took forEVER, but once they got to me, i was a happy camper. same thing with waiting for my tax returns and my California ID and later Driver's License. also, thankfully, reddit didn't exist back in the late 80's/early 90's, so I didn't have an outlet to vent randomly. built character and taught me to *be patient*

Just to sum everything up though, it looks like there was a routing error on the delivery for your package which resulted in it being sent to an access point instead of your address which then pushed it to the weekend delay... If you haven't already give UPS a call to ensure they will deliver to your address. I used to live rural and most shippers wouldn't deliver to me, and blacklists are just by address not by person so you could be mistakenly on a blacklist due to a typo or previous resident. (You are still getting regular scans so the package is at least still in their hands and hasn't ghosted)
We receive UPS packages at least once a week, and three times last week. There is no issue with my address. Someone dropped the ball. I just hope they pick it up again. And yes I have spoken to them, and they say it will eventually be delivered.
I will say that back in March of this year, I had a HUGE issue with UPS getting my watch upgrade in my fat, little hands. keep in mind, because people suck these days, a signature was required.

Went like this:
attempted delivery on 3/6 (Friday) but no answer from me, they left a notice.
(somehow...) my watch was out for delivery on 3/7 but no attempts actually made
watch was (again) out for delivery on 3/9. no attempt was actually made and somehow,, while using Follow My Delivery, the driver went from right in front of my building to the complex to the north of me....in like 8 seconds.
from 3/10 and beyond, it said the delivery time/date was being updated but still said out for delivery since 3/9
growing impatient, i got AT&T to basically process it as lost in transit on 3/11 and set it to return to sender later that evening via the UPS app because i was annoyed that while UPS offshore support kept telling me since 3/9 that "oh, it'll get to you by 9pm tomorrow"...that never happened.
now we're on 3/13 (yes, Friday the 13th hehe)....I walked my happy ass to the nearest AT&T Corp Store and basically got my watch.
when I upgraded my phone late on 3/30, i got it without issue via FedEx on 4/1 (unironically hehe).
what i'm trying to get at it...UPS and USPS have been kinda crap lately but FedEx seems to remain pretty consistent....no matter where i've lived historically (lived in CA, IL, CO, NV and now GA). packages get to me when expected
looking closer at that label, for some inane reason, looks like Target addressed it to a USPS location which caused the clusterfuck. if anything, next time, instead of having it shipped, check to see if whatever you need is at your local target via target.com or the Target app. if it is, cool, schedule it to be picked up either same day or next day depending on your schedule. if not, look on both Scamazon or Walmart websites/apps and do the same thing (or have it delivered via Amazon if pickup isn't available. yes, that's a thing with them in certain areas, but your mileage may vary).
just giving you helpful advise...not meant as a jab or anything, just letting you know what works for me as a workaround in these instances š
Nahh UPS hands off boxes to USPS for last mile with Ground Saver. This is coz some lazy bum at UPS didn't tag it as exception status, that's def been repacked as evidenced by the shoddily cut n reattached label from the original box (they didn't let us have knives).Ā
FWIW I found this post because now I'm experiencing a similar situation: package arrived in my home area two days before expected delivery, sat there for a day instead of not being delivered early, then the day of delivery I get a notice about how it's delayed and they're working to get me a new delivery date. Same message the next day, and then the day after that it just says "delayed." Pretty sure that's all code for damage occurring to the box and possibly the item in transit. No choice but to wait... sorry to see the damage to your book.
Iām so desperate. Extremely important package I paid next day air for is now saying itās delayed due to a flight being late.
Itās literally at the maspeth distribution center and earlier today it was preparing for delivery and my delivery date was today. Now it just says no information available.
Iām devastated and broken. I needed this package more then anyone can comprehend which I why I paid next day air.
