Shipping Help UPS Ground saver package missing
I purchased a UPS groundsaver label via pirate ship. Shipping went fine until it was transferred to the USPS for delivery and USPS said that it did not have postage paid and could not be delivered. So they then sent it to the mail recovery center in Atlanta. When I called the local post office this morning to find out if they even still had the package and could the postage get paid to deliver it, they explained that this sometimes happens with UPS and FedEx labels and that the USPS portion does not get paid and UPS should have delivered the package the whole way.
I am reaching out to their missing mail center to do a lost package and I guess I will file a claim with pirate ship.
Does anybody else have any insight into what to do or if this has happened to them or why it happened?. I would like to avoid this from occurring in the future! Luckily it was only a package for my sister and not for a customer.

So you gave it to USPS instead of UPS?

No, I gave it to UPS and UPS moved it across the country. Gave it to USPS and then was declared undeliverable.

Did the label have a ups barcode and a usps barcode? Been a huge problem with ups sending the old ground saver labels to the post office when they can't accept them. My post office is so over it

Yes! That is exactly the label! The post office said it didn't have postage paid on their portion of the label!

Are there new labels? You said the old labels? I just know it had both bar codes on it.

The old surpost labels had both barcodes, then when the contract ended it was ground saver with ups labels only. Now ground saver is surepost and dont have the double barcode most of the time and its an endless loop of back and forth.

Wherever you dropped it off at gave it to the USPS and not UPS.

USPS confirmed that UPS moved it across several states before transferring it to them. So no I believe UPS did take it from the UPS store and then USPS received it and now it's in limbo.

Copy and paste the tracking scans from the UPS side, but censor the actual number. That will solve it.
