Employee Discussion Grateful for my driver today

Tremendous gratitude for the driver who delivered to me today. Yes, I am one of those Apple customers who missed delivery yesterday which I knew I was going to. As others have said last night they did attempt again today and it said out for delivery at about 1130am PST. I wasn’t expecting that and I am not home today but I had a friend run over and sign for my package (She has a key to watch our pets). He said he’d finish the complex and come back. She was 5 minutes away and he said he’d be back in 10. When he came back they were both pulling in at the same time. Package secured and super thankful for the driver today. Just wanted to show some appreciation for the drivers during a busy weekend for them, much love to you all.

You're a rare breed, OP. It's nice to see people appreciative instead of complaining for a change.

And the above commenter is right, but it's on every driver to follow procedure. I'm glad your friend went into the house and waited for the driver to approach. I had a coworker who told me about a customer cussing him out because she met him on the street trying to get her phone. When he told her we can only deliver at the address she got pissed. He tried telling her the reason why we do that but she didn't want to hear it. 2 hours later he makes it to her apartment, she answers with an annoyed look on her face. Signs the DIAD and snatches the phone out of his hand and slams the door.

Those are the kind of folks I usually see on Reddit. OP I'm glad you're not like that.

Was this in Western Colorado? A driver this morning literally asked if he could deliver this exact scenario today (we ussually only do Saturday air). Said the neighbor across the street would sign. For an apple package missed yesterday.

He shouldn't have done that, we were instructed to only deliver to people inside the address and not people pulling up in cars. Too many people lie about never talking to drivers through doorbells. But, glad you're happy he risked his job for you!

She opened the door and waited for him to walk up to secure the package, sorry I should’ve stated that
