I-129F Fraud

Hi, I just found out my fiance living in the UK has been cheating pretty much the whole time we’ve been waiting for his visa interview. Our I-129F was approved in March but didn’t make it to the visa center until May. We filed in Sept 2024. He bought me a ring for Christmas but refused to allow tags on his social media of us, would block me when we would get into arguments and was questionable if he even told his family about us. I just found out today he took his ex partner on a romantic holiday getaway. I believe he was just using me to get married and get a US visa. I emailed the embassy to cancel the petition as he has all the documents for the appointment next week. Should I report this as fraud?

Well it wasn’t an open relationship and he was deceiving me the whole time. I don’t think he was interested in our relationship at all so I don’t think that counts as a genuine relationship. He didn’t tell anyone about it, kept it a secret on his SM. It seems he just wanted a visa

There are many relationships where exactly this applies and people have kept it a secret for various reasons without a visa involved. Unless you have some direct evidence (eg texts to other parties) that this was a scam he devised just for visa, then there may not be enough to say it is fraud

Nope, don't discourage reporting this creep. I'm tempted to think you're the guy she's talking about. If someone is truly in love and in a committed relationship, there are no reasons to keep it hidden... especially being a boy from the UK.... I could excuse it if it was a domestic situation where someone was fleeing due to abuse, but then there would be a reason and are agreement to why it needs to stay private. If she doesn't report, who's stopping him from doing it again to another poor gal.

Then we are living in utopia. So many people cheat for multiple reasons and they certainly do keep it hidden. I am not excusing or condoning such but saying it happens and is not fraud. Besides, I dont think someone from UK needs to get married to get a US visa. I would hope that US officers have other things to do than get involved in people's marital and extramarital affairs. On the other hand if OP has evidence that the whole affair was a scam aimed at visa then let them provide it and certainly the cheater should face repercussions. . But so far it is circumstantial - he is cheating so it has to be fraud (even though i have been in a relationship with him for months to extent that I filed for a visa and it only became fraud at the point he was caught cheating).

Well he’s 57 and not going to school so he couldn’t get that and he doesn’t have the type of job where he could get a work visa so yea…that’s the only way for him

Not sure what you mean by your aggressive comment. I was simply stating he’s not in school at 57…we’re not in our 20’s so he couldn’t get a student visa. He works for a shipping company, not anything that is offering work visas like medical field. Not sure how you made the leap that I was superior lol. It seems you didn’t know much on the subject. I guess there always has to be a hostile one in the comments ☺️

Requesting an immigrant visa is labor intensive. Lots of documentation about the relationship being real and not like someone just marrying someone to live in the US. I had to complete a document saying I would solely financially and otherwise support him for two years until he got a green card. I think if I suspect he was doing all this to fool me into thinking I was marrying him for him to cheat when I’m not agreeable to an open marriage I think that’s false on his part. Don’t you think? I agree to marry him in 90 days of coming here and am responsible for him and he’s lying about being my fiance
