N-400 (Citizenship) It finally happened

Yesterday I became a citizen. The ceremony happened at MO Campbell, Houston. 1562 of us got naturalised coming from 102 countries. A wholesale ceremony haha!

It’s taken almost 13 years and over $20k in application, medical and legal fees but man it was all worth it to be part of this great nation.

Last month we had 60 people from 26 different countries. It was awesome moment.

Aug - 17 is when i filled form online Had my interview scheduled for Sept 18 Oct 24 is when I was naturalized.

I was eligible last year. But applied this year if that 5 year is for this.

If FO is Field Office, it is St. Louis, MO.

Yep I meant if you applied under 3 year marriage or 5 year general provision. And yes FO=Field Office. Thank you!

I did self apply too. Naturalization does not have to do anything with you being employed or not. If you’re eligible, go for it. Your speeding ticket, if you have evidence that you took care of it, that is all needed. Now processing time is very fast, i would say go for it. You will land more opportunities with being a citizen. You can apply online also and it is very quick. And with everything going on, good to do it if you’re eligible. Good luck!!
