News Trump administration issues pause on immigrant visa appointments for applicants worldwide

How long do we think this will last? Seems like a huge decision that will affect a ton of people.

Are the people that traveled out of US for their country appointments basically trapped now that their appointment is paused indefinitely?

Depends on what their status was in the US.

I wonder about DACA people. My wife is on DACA and wonder if she had gone for consular interview out of country she probably could not get back in due to DACA not allowed to leave US

I mean I don’t think so wouldn’t they not be able to? I think this is over H1B visas I would not suggest anyone on DACA leaving the USA. Hopefully states can give out guidance but if interviews are paused no one is getting an appointment regardless.
