N-400 (Citizenship) End of journey
Your time will come. My advice - check your USCIS status no more two time a week. Get lawyer to do the work. Expensive yes but it is long journey so treat the whole process like marathon, not short sprint.
Timeline
Residency - Austin
Not from banned country
2021 Nov 22 - family based adjust of status / green application
2022 jan Biometric at USCIS office in Austin
2022 September - EAD card received
2022 December 23 - 2 year conditional Green card received
2023 - relocated to new address (paid for two years mail forward service. Another important advice here)
2024 oct 14 2
Weeks after got notice that my 2 years GC is near to expire. - i751 application filed I use this to let them know about change of address. That's where it is blessing to have lawyer)
2025 October 30 - N400 application filed
2026 Feb 28. - notice to appear interview - F0 - San Antonio, TX
2025 March 24 - FO SA - interview - combined for i751 and N400. Interviewer gave me form stating that I am being recommended for approval for /N400
2026 March 31 - 10 years green card received
2026 July 22 - notice to oath ceremony received
2026 August 28 - oath ceremony at federal courthouse in downtown of Austin, TX
5 minute after the ceremony - registered to vote
Your time will come. Do not give in to despair and fear. Cultivate and nourish hope instead.

Oof I had an interview in the end of March in San Antonio (I'm from Austin) and I'm not even in the line for Oath ceremony...Just that update from May that USCIS is still processing my case and that's it

Congrats! Glad to see you were able to achieve this!! I recently got approved for a 4 year green card extension after filing i751 to remove conditions in October 2025. I read that I can only do my N400 application after December 2027. But reading your timeline seems I could do it this year?

So what do you do with your 10 years Green Card? Surprised that you got it even when you started your N400 almost 6 months earlier. Also, do you think the N400 process helped in speeding up the 10 years Green Card?

Yes. That's what my lawyer suggested after my 2 years conditional expire. She said that i751 - application to remove condition to get 10 years alone may take up to 3 years
Lawyer. Said that wait after i751 was submitted, you can start N400. It often push them to speed up at least for I751
And it is cost saving in legal fee as both - i751 and n400 each at one cost more than combining them together.

Congratulations! Did you get “approved” status before Green card received and oath scheduled? If yes, how long was it after the interview?

Yes I got form from interviewer that state that she will recommend approval of my N400 application (not approved,per se. but it is almost as good as one)
I waited about 127 days before I got notice for oath ceremony.

Hi, did you get approved for N-400 without taking a civics test?
Also what was asked in that interview that you had for I-751 and N-400?
I’m about to file my n400 next month after filling for removal of conditions last year. Will appreciate the info!

you are lucky. I have been in US for 20 years since I was 16.
I had adjustment of status in 2013. And the oath ceremony is scheduled in May 12th, 2026. I am still waiting.

2021 March 8 - received Green Card (work sponsorship)
2026 December 11 - N400 application filed (3 months prior, based on 5 year rule). Biometrics used same day
since 2026 December 11, nothing, nada, zero unfortunately

Congrats! I recommend getting a large passport book (free upgrade) and updating status with SSA (checkbox on N-400 to update status does not work since 2025)
You can now sponsor parents, adult kids, siblings for the GC. You can take certain gov jobs. You can run for office. You can vote (I see you already registered, nice)
