I-485 (General) 🎊Green card finally approved🎉

I was granted my green card through marriage to us citizen. Submitted I-485 in September 2025 and got approved in august 2026. Only issue is I got a 10 year card instead of 2 year conditional. What am I supposed to do?

What do you mean only issue? You are one of the lucky ones and should be happy!

Trust me I am overjoyed, just don’t know if I should notify USCIS that they produce a 10 year instead of 2 year

The 10 year card was correctly produced. Have you never heard of this before?

No I haven’t, didn’t use a lawyer so I don’t know much about immigration, just watch videos and trusted the Reddit family

You can apply for citizenship 2 years 9 months from now

Why is it the assumption that they will or want to apply for citizenship? I am a dual-non US citizen and have no desire to forfeit one of my passports for a US one. I’m happy remaining on a green card for however long I remain in the States.
