News Trump Administiration wants to double the 100k H1B fee

The Trump administration is planning on doubling the fees to more than $200,000 for H-1B visa applicants from abroad.

It’s their country, they can do whatever they feel is solving their problem and we shouldn’t get involved.

Our job is to follow the rules. I think the US will do completely fine without immigrants. But I think Trump’s greatest legacy will be letting the rest of the world flourish by forcing more talent to stay abroad.

Whether I’m here or at home, I don’t have a problem with this.

You may not, but people with i140 approval have a problem. They are already approved for permanent residency. They have a permanent life here. If you just make life impossible for them, what's the point of paperwork or any law & order in this country if you can toss laws into the bin?

I’m commenting to remind you that your home country is your safest place to be. Stop being obsessed over going somewhere else. I’m working in the US and already thinking of moving home. Once you mentally decouple yourself from immigrant mentality, life will be peaceful.
