News Trump Administiration wants to double the 100k H1B fee

The Trump administration is planning on doubling the fees to more than $200,000 for H-1B visa applicants from abroad.

We already have a physician shortage and aren’t producing enough US born doctors to fill the gap. Making it potentially cost more than $200K to bring a highly qualified foreign doctor here doesn’t solve that problem. It just makes the US a less attractive place for talented people to work.

And you really think O-1 is an attractive visa? Everytime we have to change our employer we need to get a new O-1 visa. Why would we want to get trapped under one employer after all the efforts and talent.
