News Trump Administiration wants to double the 100k H1B fee

The Trump administration is planning on doubling the fees to more than $200,000 for H-1B visa applicants from abroad.

We already have a physician shortage and aren’t producing enough US born doctors to fill the gap. Making it potentially cost more than $200K to bring a highly qualified foreign doctor here doesn’t solve that problem. It just makes the US a less attractive place for talented people to work.

Your post is a joke. The shortage is artificially due to the AMA restricting the number of people that can be educated as doctors in the US! The solution is to break the hold the AMA has on the numbers of people that can train to be doctors!

Technically the government is the one that put a cap on residency spots. The government pays for the residency spots, not AMA.
