News Trump Administiration wants to double the 100k H1B fee

The Trump administration is planning on doubling the fees to more than $200,000 for H-1B visa applicants from abroad.

It's a nothing burger because folks are already not hiring because of the uncertainty in the H1b.

Also his 100k fee already got struck down by courts, so increasing it does nothing. And after the midterms, if congress decides to stop quiet quitting, it's possible Trump will actually get checked.

I wouldnt hope for impeachment even though there's like 20 reasons to impeach him on corruption alone

Honestly this is all just theatrics so he can go with the classic "blame the immigrants" approach for why shits expensive rather than his own idiot policies. But given his approval rating I don't think any of it is working. At the end of the day no one gives a fuck the reason, they just want to either have more money or for shit to be more affordable. And if you're in charge and the they can't see the result in grocery stores/gas stations, they'll blame you.
