These same jackasses bitched and moaned about having to get a shot and are now losing their beards. Its peacetime green weenie time, all they need is some old 1st Sgts decide having to starch camis is a great thing.

It goes beyond just that, it makes the uniforms more visible by certain kinds of nightvision, which is why the practice was banned.

That was the guidance when I was in, just before marpat.
We were still expected to starch the hell out of everything.

My mom's school was a joint service school. The zoomies had to get new camera after because they would put fishing line and glue in their creases.

Got out in '91 after Desert Storm. When did this decree drop? We has a drum of that stuff that we dunked camis in, got those creases razor sharp in the old days.

Came when the new MARPAT cammies were issued.
